'East Bai, West Hong, South Zhou, North Yao' is a rather popular saying in certain circles, which essentially means that there are four super-large corporate empires in the country: the Bai Group headquartered in S City, the Hong Group based in Q Province, the well-known Zhou Corporation in G Province, and the smallest yet geographically advantaged Yao Group located in City B.
Among them, only the Bai and Zhou families are truly family-run businesses. The other two are newcomers that emerged relatively late, with their leadership not exceeding two generations. The Hong Group is passed from mother to son, while the Yao Group from father to daughter.
And right now, the lady standing in front of Motan and the others, Yao Qianhan, is the current head of the Yao Group and just one of her many roles is being a director at Tanhua University.
