When everyone including the teacher left the class Wei Xu continued to lay his head on his desk, deep in thought.
Wei Xu is also from the Qishi Family and his sister is Su Haixui but due to him not having any mana he doesn't dare say it out loud.
From birth there was no sense of mana in his body which is obvious since mana only awaken at the age of five.
But when he became five his mana never awake making his family disappointed. In the end they began calling him a Bastard Child so that the family name don't get ruined by him being manaless.
He the son of the head of the Qishi Family is Incompetent? It truly was a laughable matter. To make things worse his mana never awake even when he became fifteen.
Although he still haven't awaken his mana, from birth there was always this young boy who always stood by his side.
He is truly talkative and even after fifteen years he still act childish. The creepy thing though is this young boy can take control of his body, luckily that does not happen often.
He also realize that only two people can see this spirit child. Him and his instructor, Su Mucheng.
Speaking of his instructor she stealthily came behind him without him knowing.
"Xu'er!" She put her hands around him with a smiling face. Another spirit came into view but it was more reserve than his spirit and was also a girl.
"Instructor Mucheng." His indifferent eyes seem to brim with life as his lips lift into a smile.
There are only two people who never treated him like an Incompetent Bastard. His younger sister and his instructor who he views like a mother.
From young he never knew who his mother was so having someone who he can view as one really made him happy.
"Shadow." The female spirit bow slightly to the young spirit."
"Ah! Big sister." The spirit hugged the female spirit known as Death.
He then became talkative again, talking about this and that.
"How was your first time at the Academy?" Seeing how the two spirits converse, Su Mucheng asked with a smile.
"Horrible. Everyone will soon know that I am the Incompetent child of the Qishi Family." The boy eyes dim slightly.
"Tsk, that bastard." Wei Xu could feel killing intent leak out of his instructor.
"Instructor?" He called out, not affected by her aura.
"Do you know why you were never able to awaken your mana?" Su Mucheng asked with a serious tone.
"Because I am manaless." Wei Xu smile went down a little as sadness cover his entire being.
"You are not manaless." Su Mucheng said. "In fact you are not a knight."
"Its true you are a bastard child." The woman said with a sadden tone.
"But your future is going to be a bright one." She touched the boy head as her mana that represent a red light went inside his body.
Wei Xu could feel his body become weak, "Instructor..." he called out as his body went limb onto the desk, falling asleep.

Wei Xu woke up only to be met with darkness.
"Hello? Shadow? Instructor?" He called out as his voice echoed in the darkness.
Not having his spirit by his side really made him feel insecure. He began to feel frighten but his eyes remain clam.
"After fifteen years you finally came here." An ancient voice suddenly rang out.
"Who are you?" Wei Xu questioned, not affected at all by the voice.
"I am merely an old man who comes here to give you the power you so desire." The voice said as an old man formed out of the darkness.
He have long white hair that seem to come with old age and his clothes weren't the modern type of clothes as they gave an very ancient feeling. However, what is strange about him though wasn't his clothes, it's two auras that are flickers around him.
On his left the aura of life could be felt but on the right side the will of annihilation shook his entire being.
The old man saw Wei Xu looking at his two auras and smiled. "When I was born two auras seem to always have some sort of conflict in my body. My seniors always told me I should get rid of one and keep the other but I was too stubborn. In the end these two auras became the death of me." Sorrow filled his being before he brighten up again. "Now I am giving you the chance to choose one of them."
"Will it be Life or Annihilation. Pick wisely."
Both auras came out of the old man. On the right was a black shiny orb while on the left is a green orb.
"If I choose... Will I finally be able to awaken my mana?" Wei Xu asked the old man.
"Yes." The old man continue smiling when he heard this question. "In fact the reason you were never able to awaken your mana is because you believed you were a knight."
"So I'm really not a knight." Wei Xu indifferent eyes began to shine as he crazily laughed shocking the old man.
"HAHAHAHAHAH!" Wei Xu laughter was filled with endless sorrow and hatred. He laughed for a good five minutes but even when he stopped it still echoed in the darkness.
"For ten years I believe I was a knight but now, now I am told I was really not a knight." Just minutes ago he was talking happily with his instructor but now deep hatred for his family could be seen in his eyes.
They made me believe I was a knight.
Someone who will fight on the frontlines.
Someone who will protect the lives of everyone.
They told me I will become a strong knight.
"Haha.. Ha." he laughed once more as he cover his face with his hand, his body shivering.
When the laughter that echoed around finally seized Wei Xu made his decision.
"I choose the Will of Annihilation." He said with utmost confidence.
"Are you sure? This will not only affect your personality but also affect your future. The power of annihilation shouldn't be handled carelessly." The old man became shocked not expecting him to choose it.
"And what the hell will I do with the power of life? Something like that, I do not need." Wei Xu shook his head as he raise his hand toward the black orb and it slowly moved towards him, landing in his hand.
"Haha, You are right young one. If I got rid of it back then maybe I would still be alive." When Wei Xu choose his power the old man silently disappear, 'You will one day stand with the strongest of people in the world young man.' He said in his mind as his figure vanished.
When Wei Xu felt the orb he felt all sort of things.
Confidence, Arrogance, Dominance, Annihilation. These were the things he felt.
As he felt these emotions, the orb went inside his body before everything disappear.
