Akuno sat on a chair beside the sofa where Yuki's mom sat. Yuki glared at his father, not saying a word. He was too stunned to speak, thinking how he would rip the man in front of him to shreds. Yuki noticed two armed guards standing behind the couch where his mother sat. She sat there frozen, shaking in fear, her eyes wide in terror.
"Where are Yuzu and Hiro…" Yuki asked, giving his father a side-eye. Akuno smiled,
"They're perfectly alright, they should be at school anyways…" Akuno said. Yuki nodded,
"Give me a good reason not to rip you and your guards to shreds, right now…" Yuki said. Akuno smirked, chuckling.
"I have no doubt you could do it… But in front of your mother…?" Akuno asked. Yuki grits his teeth,
"Dammit, he's right… I don't want to scare Mom more than she already is…" Yuki internalized. Yuki looked over at his dad.
"Why don't you have a seat… Yuki…" Akuno said. Akuno pointed at the spot next to Reo. Yuki walked over, sitting next to his mom. Yuki looked over at Akuno.
"Before you say it, I'll answer the question… How the hell am I alive…?" Akuno said, smirking.
"See that scar on your cheek?" Akuno asked. Yuki put a finger on his left cheek, nodding.
"Do you happen to know what that is...?" Akuno asked. Yuki shook his head,
"No... Is it some parasite you put on me...?" Yuki asked. Akuno slapped his knee, chuckling.
"Hah! No... Goodness, why would I ever do that to my own son..." Akuno said. Yuki scoffed,
"Like you haven't done it before..." Yuki said. Akuno finished chuckling,
"I have a question for you, son…" Akuno asked. Yuki raised a brow.
"What…?" Yuki asked. Akuno smirked.
"Have you ever heard of The God Tamer…?" Akuno asked. Yuki nodded,
"Yeah, it's a novel by Douglas Adams…" Yuki said. Akuno nodded, taking a puff of his cigarette.
"Did you happen to know that it's a true story?" Akuno asked. Yuki raised a brow,
"You're a horrible liar…" Yuki said. Akuno chuckled, putting a hand on his knee.
"His name is Hirota Noritoshi… You'll find him in the Jikaku, maybe along with his lover… Who knows…" Akuno said, putting out his cigar. He stood up, adjusting his blazer. Yuki stood up glaring at him.
"Now… Just cause you're my dad doesn't mean you're on my good side…" Yuki said. Akuno chuckled, putting sunglasses on.
"I don't think I need to worry," Akuno said. Yuki scoffed,
"If the entities do end up invading… You know damn well you can't protect yourself against them…" Yuki said. Akuno smiled, nodding.
"I don't expect the Entities to come after me…" Akuno said. Yuki raised a brow in confusion.
"I expect you to come after me…" Akuno said. Yuki clenched his fist, gritting his teeth. Akuno and his bodyguards then walked out of the penthouse. Yuki then sat back down, hugging his mom.
"I'm sorry…" Yuki said. His mom began to break down. Yuki grits his teeth. His mom cried on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry… I had to raise you with that man…" Reo said. Yuki's eyes widened, backing up, putting his hands on his mom's shoulder.
"Don't say that!" Yuki said as tears rolled from his eyes.
"You're the best mom I could ever ask for!! You took care of me while I was unconscious for nearly a year, and you spent time with me during my lonely birthdays when dad was busy terrorizing the planet!! Don't ever apologize to me for anything!!" Yuki said. Reo nodded wiping her eyes. They then appeared in the master bedroom, as Yuki placed his mom on the bed.
"Rest… Do you need anything…?" Yuki said. Reo shook her head, Yuki nodded, putting a finger on his forehead.
"I'll ask Callie to come over… We'll pick up Yuzu and Hiro… She'll probably insist on making dinner…" Yuki said. Reo chuckled, nodding. Yuki turned to walk to the door before his mom grabbed his wrist. Yuki looked back, raising a brow. Reo smiled,
"You've grown up so fast… It makes it so hard for your dear old mom to keep up…" Reo said. Yuki chuckled, scratching the side of his head,
"Sorry…" Yuki said, smiling. Yuki walked out of the bed, closing the door behind him. He then pulled out his phone, tapping on it a few times before putting it next to his ear. Meanwhile, Callie lay on her bed, with her eyes closed. His phone began to vibrate suddenly. She says up quickly, answering the phone.
"Yuki!?" Callie asked.
"Hey… Can you come over…?" Yuki asked. Callie nodded quickly,
"Of course, do you need something…?" Callie asked. Yuki shook his head,
"No… And yes… I just need help with a few things… I also want to apologize…" Yuki said. Callie smiled,
"I'll be right over…" Callie said. She hung up the phone putting it in her pocket. She removed her hoodie and pajama pants, putting on black leggings and a beige sweater. She walked out of her room, and down the stairs. Her father raised a brow,
"Where are you headed?" Mr. Hatzi asked. She grabbed her bag, smiling.
"To Yuki's," Callie said. Her dad nodded,
"Well, have a nice time," Mr. Hatzi said, smiling and reading his newspaper. Callie smiled, putting on her shoes.
"I will, do you need anything...?" Callie asked. Her father shook his head,
"No, just thinking about how much you look like your mother..." Mr. Hatzi said. Callie smiled, moving some of her hair behind her ear.
"Well, I'm heading out..." Callie said, opening the door. Mr. Hatzi put his hand up, nodding. Callie closed the door behind her.
A few minutes later, she arrived at the Homuraki penthouse. She knocked on the door and Yuki answered.
"Sorry it took me awhile, so are we going to get your sibling from school...?" Callie asked. Yuki nodded, putting his coat on.
The two walked down the sidewalk on their way to Tobias International Academy.
