Chapter 229 - Ch 325-326

Chapter 325: Chiang Tin-Yeung's Decision

Chiang Tin-Yeung arrived much faster than anyone had imagined.

Just like the day Chiang Tin-Sung was attacked.

Liang Kun gave Chiang Tin-Yeung a fierce hug:

"Mr. Chiang, you came back so quickly."

After politely greeting everyone, Chiang Tin-Yeung spoke the truth:

"When you're out in the Triad, it's all about money, isn't it? If you don't keep your eyes wide open when making money, will you be embarrassed when spending it?"

Liang Kun laughed heartily.

On this point, both sides had a common language.

Making money first in the Triad, that was Liang Kun's famous saying.

Chiang Tin-Yeung was startled when he saw the check on the table:

"Eleven hundred million!"

Lin Feng smiled:

"No, this is just a portion of our branch's share."

Liang Kun explained:

"This project was originally Ah Feng's, but he's righteous and willing to let us brothers get rich together."

"The checks here are only for our Hung Hing brothers."

"Ah Feng's hasn't been taken out yet."

Chiang Tin-Yeung smiled and patted his forehead:

"Ah Feng is our Hung Hing's big financier."

He said seriously,

"Ah Kun, Ah Feng, I'll invest seven hundred million, alright?"

Liang Kun asked curiously:

"You're richer than me, so you're only investing seven hundred million?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung said earnestly:

"We need to have rules, you know."

Liang Kun shook his head:

"You are our Hung Hing's Second Marshal, second only to me in status."

"My capital is only this much; it's impossible to increase it in a short time."

"You're different. Since you have enough capital, the more the merrier."

"Ah Feng won't mind, and I'm not that petty either."

"Otherwise, we wouldn't have told you this news."

Liang Kun joked:

"Actually, the more you invest, the more commission I get. You're just sending me money!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung couldn't help but give a thumbs up.

Liang Kun's magnanimity truly matched his status.

Lin Feng smiled:

"Mr. Chiang, we haven't told the former Dragon Head about this. Do you think we should tell him?"

Liang Kun said self-deprecatingly:

"I feel that I've been very respectful to Mr. Chiang, but after he stepped down, he's been determined to distance himself from us."

"Even now, I don't know where I offended Mr. Chiang."

Chiang Tin-Yeung just felt a toothache:

"No, you didn't offend him."

"Hung Hing didn't offend him either."

"He's just like that, very headache-inducing."

"Suspicious, he even suspects me, his younger brother. I have a headache too."

After thinking for a moment, Chiang Tin-Yeung said decisively,

"Let's not tell him."

Liang Kun, Shui Ling, and Lin Feng exchanged glances, all looking at Chiang Tin-Yeung for an explanation.

"When you're in the Triad, you have to follow the rules."

"If you make a mistake, you have to admit it; if you get beaten, you have to stand at attention."

"Hung Hing didn't do him wrong; on the contrary, he owes Hung Hing."

"After being set up by Crow and others, he could only lie in bed, step down, and recuperate."

"He left a mess for Ah Kun."

"It was you and Ah Feng who took on the task in a crisis, allowing Hung Hing to safely overcome this danger."

"It was also you and Ah Feng who exposed the conspiracy of Tung Sing's Crow trio in the chaotic underworld, and avenged our Big Brother."

"Not only that, under your efforts, Ah Kun, Hung Hing has developed by leaps and bounds."

"In a short time, it has even added three branches: Tsuen Wan, Lei Yue Mun, and Macau."

"Making Hung Hing's branches go from twelve to fifteen."

"Our Hung Hing subtly has the meaning of being the top of Hong Kong's top ten."

"My Big Brother should be ashamed."

"If he were truly rational, he should regret why he didn't give you the Chairman position sooner."

Once Chiang Tin-Yeung opened his mouth, he truly spoke non-stop.

Everyone listened, clicking their tongues:

"You really dare to say that!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung unhesitatingly criticized Chiang Tin-Sung thoroughly.

Lin Feng teased:

"You can't tell Mr. Chiang these words, otherwise, he'll definitely fall out with you."

This was originally a very ordinary remark, but who knew it would resonate with Chiang Tin-Yeung.

"Who says it isn't so!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung sighed deeply.

Lin Feng saw this and immediately gestured to Liang Kun, who promptly pulled out a box of cigars.

The familiar scene unfolded,

The cigar box was naturally taken by Lin Feng, who pulled out three, the rest naturally went into Lin Feng's pocket.

Chiang Tin-Yeung, who was in a bad mood, was amused by this scene.

Liang Kun smiled helplessly, no choice, it had become a habit.

If Lin Feng wanted to snatch them, let him snatch them; it wasn't like he just started snatching them now.

Chiang Tin-Yeung said while smoking a cigar:

"My Big Brother and I are full blood brothers, but our personalities are truly not alike."

"He's sensitive and suspicious, almost to the point of not trusting anyone."

"Let alone Ah Kun, he doesn't even trust me."

Shui Ling said softly:

"Isn't that tiring?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung smiled bitterly:

"How can it not be tiring?"

"We're in the Triad, almost doing things that could cost us our heads, almost without even a single confidant..."

"Don't think he trusts Ah Yao very much. Of course, Ah Yao is Hung Hing's loyal minister, whoever is the Chairman, he is loyal to them. He serves as a competent White Paper Fan."

"The problem is, my Big Brother doesn't want that kind of loyalty."

Lin Feng nodded lightly:

"Actually, most people can't accept that kind of loyalty either."

People are selfish.

Chan Yiu belonged to the old school of Triad White Paper Fan, seemingly closest to Chiang Tin-Sung.

In reality, he was loyal to the Triad.

And at that time, Chiang Tin-Sung happened to represent the Triad.

So what about after Chiang Tin-Sung stepped down?

Chan Yiu naturally wouldn't continue to be loyal to him, which was a very natural thing.

Chiang Tin-Sung definitely didn't like Chan Yiu's attitude, and most people wouldn't like Chan Yiu's attitude.

If you're going to be loyal, be loyal to the end. What kind of loyalty is that?

However, that was Chan Yiu's way of dealing with the world.

His logic was precisely this: only loyal to Hung Hing.

Chiang Tin-Yeung shook his head:

"Ah Feng, you don't need to make excuses for my Big Brother."

"The Chairman is a dangerous position, extremely high risk."

"To be a Chairman, prestige, strength, and temperament are indispensable."

"Otherwise, it won't last long."

"Honestly, if my Big Brother encountered such a thing, among all of us branch masters, besides Chan Yiu, he wouldn't tell anyone else."

"This is the difference in temperament."

The three of them understood simultaneously.

For a project that is sure to make money, this is a good opportunity to increase one's strength.

Being in the Triad is all about making money.

Making money is always the top priority.

More money means more power.

When money reaches a certain level, it can even scare people to death.

Why is Lin Feng's position in Hung Hing so carefree?

The reason is very simple: he is Hung Hing's big financier and the money god of all Hung Hing's branch masters.

You can neglect anyone but Lin Feng.

With a money-making opportunity here, everyone's reactions are different.

Liang Kun can openly share this opportunity with all the branch masters, but that doesn't mean Chiang Tin-Sung can too.

Chiang Tin-Yeung particularly admired Liang Kun's magnanimity.

He mused that if he were in Liang Kun's shoes, whether he could openly share such a large project would also require careful consideration.

Of course, this was also because Chiang Tin-Yeung was also a magnanimous person and would likely do the same thing.

Lin Feng smiled:

"Big Brother's magnanimity is naturally admirable, but Mr. Chiang, this project has risks."

Chiang Tin-Yeung was unconcerned:

"Where in this world is there a project that is 100% guaranteed to make money?"

"As long as there's a 30% chance, it's worth a gamble."

Lin Feng laughed heartily:

"Mr. Chiang has good judgment."

Shui Ling clicked her tongue:

"Gambling hundreds of millions of money on a project, this is too..."

Chiang Tin-Yeung spoke the truth,

"That depends on who is operating the project."

"If it's Ah Feng, even if I judge there's not a single chance, I'll still invest."

Shui Ling was puzzled:

"Why?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung said seriously:

"I'm not investing in this project; I'm investing in Ah Feng as a person."

"I'm very good at judging people. Ah Feng is the kind of person who makes people feel at ease in his dealings and actions, possessing a unique personal charm."

"He will definitely succeed."

"I firmly believe that."

Shui Ling nodded silently.

Upon hearing this, Liang Kun said to Lin Feng:

"Ah Feng, you should still introduce your project to Mr. Chiang in detail."

Chiang Tin-Yeung waved his hand:

"No need, I trust Ah Feng's choice."

Lin Feng laughed heartily:

"I wouldn't dare not listen to Big Brother's command."

"Mr. Chiang, this project is huge, and it also has great uncertainties."

Chiang Tin-Yeung asked:

"Can the project make money?"

Lin Feng replied affirmatively:

"Yes!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung spread his hands:

"Isn't that enough?"

Lin Feng smiled:

"That's not it. It's just that depending on the intensity of the project, our level of danger also varies."

Chiang Tin-Yeung was startled:

"Danger?"

"Does this project involve crime?"

Lin Feng smiled and shook his head:

"I wouldn't let my record be stained."

Chiang Tin-Yeung asked curiously:

"Since it's a legal and compliant channel, why do you say there's danger?"

Lin Feng shrugged:

"There is indeed danger."

Chiang Tin-Yeung was very puzzled:

"What is it exactly?"

Lin Feng smiled:

"For this project, I'm targeting the Tycoon."

Chiang Tin-Yeung paused, then gave a thumbs up and said:

"The Tycoon is the richest man; you dare to target his conglomerate. You're truly brave."

Lin Feng shrugged:

"I don't have many enemies in Hong Kong, but he's the biggest one. Of course, he doesn't know I exist."

"I have a good habit: since they are enemies, it's best to turn them all into dead men, so I'll be completely safe."

Chiang Tin-Yeung praised:

"Good habit!"

However, when the enemy was the Tycoon, even the fearless Chiang Tin-Yeung felt a chill.

Chiang Tin-Yeung pondered for a moment, then couldn't help but ask:

"Can this project really make money?"

Lin Feng shrugged:

"Of course it can make money."

"Sniping, it's all about catching them by surprise."

"It's just like a fight."

"No matter how formidable a person is, if they're ambushed, they'll still lose a layer of skin."

Chiang Tin-Yeung immediately nodded:

"That makes sense."

"So, where is the danger you mentioned?"

Lin Feng spoke truthfully:

"I have two plans for this project."

"One plan is to snipe the Tycoon, but if he counterattacks, then we can only earn a portion of the money and retreat."

"In the stock market, you can't hide your identity, especially with the Tycoon's extensive connections; it's even harder to hide."

"I'm afraid the Tycoon will use social forces to interfere with us."

Chiang Tin-Yeung smiled and shook his head:

"This little danger is nothing."

"I believe your move will definitely make the Tycoon uncomfortable. Since that's the case, we will, to some extent, stand in the same position as the Tycoon. By then, this kind of power will cancel out."

"What's more, we are a Triad."

Shuiling was secretly alarmed.

When Lin Feng mentioned he was going to snipe the Tycoon, Shuiling repeatedly pondered the situations they would face next.

She didn't sleep all night, only then did she clearly consider the pros and cons.

And because of that, she decisively supported Liang Kun.

However, Chiang Tin-Yeung had only just been informed of the truth by Lin Feng, yet he managed to clearly consider the pros and cons in such a short time. How could Shuiling not be surprised?

"It seems that even without Ah Kun and Ah Feng, if this Chiang Tin-Yeung takes over as Dragon Head, Hung Hing will not fall."

"Tung Sing is doomed!"

Comparing Hung Hing's talent, Tung Sing was truly experiencing a talent gap.

Especially Lin Feng, whose focus was even on the post-reversion era, already thinking about how to survive better.

This point, let alone the current bosses of Tung Sing, even Shuiling hadn't considered.

"Forget it, since I've become a Li family wife, I naturally have to follow my husband's lead."

"This is better."

Chiang Tin-Yeung asked curiously:

"Ah Feng, you said this is the general situation, so what does the perfect situation look like?"

Lin Feng laughed heartily:

"The perfect situation, you ask?"

"That would naturally be us replacing the Tycoon's position."

Chiang Tin-Yeung almost dropped the cigar in his hand:

"What?"

Lin Feng said naturally:

"I don't like enemies."

"What kind of enemy is the most harmless? Of course, a dead one?"

"I really like to wipe them out completely."

Chiang Tin-Yeung couldn't help but ask:

"Is our capital enough?"

Lin Feng smiled:

"Naturally, it's not enough."

Liang Kun asked:

"Ah Feng, how much have you prepared?"

Lin Feng shrugged:

"Today I sniped the Tycoon and didn't make much, just one billion hong kong dollars."

Hiss!

Liang Kun, Shuiling, and Chiang Tin-Yeung all gasped simultaneously.

The three of them were in unison, their gasps very loud.

Fang Ting said proudly:

"Chen Taotao, under Brother Feng's command, made early arrangements and directly swept away all the profit transfers between the Tycoon and the Golden Club."

"One billion hong kong dollars is already in our account."

Liang Kun clicked his tongue:

"You're a man who does big things, yet you keep quiet about such matters."

"You really are something."

Chiang Tin-Yeung, however, strongly agreed with Lin Feng's approach:

"When carrying out such confidential matters, the fewer people who know, the better."

"Our ancestors said, 'If the ruler is not secretive, he loses his ministers; if the minister is not secretive, he loses himself; if affairs are not secretive, they lead to harm.'"

Liang Kun and Shuiling's eyes widened:

"What is all that about?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung was speechless.

Lin Feng laughed heartily:

"Mr. Chiang's meaning is actually just the first sentence: keep it a secret."

Chiang Tin-Yeung thought for a moment, then suddenly said:

"How about I invest a few more hundred millions?"

Liang Kun clicked his tongue:

"Mr. Chiang, you're impressive."

Chiang Tin-Yeung was exceptionally excited:

"Sniping the Tycoon!"

"Who would dare to think of such a thing?"

"Perhaps the Tycoon himself wouldn't even imagine that someone would dare to snipe him, right?"

"This creates an opportunity for us."

"Once it succeeds, we will directly transform, becoming the upper echelon of the upper echelon."

Chiang Tin-Yeung trembled all over as he thought of the ideal situation Lin Feng had described.

He wanted to get involved in such a major battle!

No one could stop him.

Lin Feng smiled and said:

"Mr. Chiang, rest assured, I know the consequences of not killing a snake."

"Therefore, I have prepared enough ammunition."

Liang Kun was startled:

"You're going to continue investing?"

Lin Feng said naturally:

"That's for sure, this much money isn't enough."

Liang Kun frowned and said:

"Thirty billion isn't enough to snipe the Tycoon?"

Lin Feng said seriously:

"Not enough!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung echoed:

"Indeed, not enough."

"The Tycoon's plate, it doesn't look that big, does it?"

"But in reality, his connections are exceptionally deep."

"If the Tycoon encounters cash flow problems, he will use his connections."

"He not only has vast connections in the local Hong Kong business community but also has extremely close ties with Anglo-Saxon capital."

"Once a stalemate occurs, let alone these twenty billion, even if another twenty billion were added, it could still become their meal."

Lin Feng said chillingly:

"The Tycoon is backed by HSBC."

Everyone fell silent.

That was a bank worth hundreds of billions.

If HSBC were to support him regardless of cost, the Tycoon's side would have infinite power in the short term.

No one should expect to win against them.

Liang Kun frowned, looked at Lin Feng, and saw that his younger brother's expression was very calm.

His frown relaxed.

"The older one gets in the jianghu, the smaller their guts become."

"Since Ah Feng dares to target the Tycoon, he naturally has confidence."

"Since he dares to do such a thing, as his big brother, I'll accompany him to the death."

"We're brothers for life, if I don't help now, when will I help?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung asked with a smile:

"Ah Feng has confidence?"

Lin Feng smiled:

"That's not necessarily the case."

Chiang Tin-Yeung actually breathed a sigh of relief:

"Dragon Head, I want to add a few more hundred millions to the investment. Please allow it."

Liang Kun pointed at Lin Feng and said:

"If you want to increase your investment, that's sending me money."

"I have no reason to refuse."

"However, Ah Feng is the one running this project, so you'll have to ask Ah Feng."

Lin Feng clapped his hands:

"This is like Han Xin deploying troops; the more, the better!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung immediately made a decision:

"Then I won't be polite!"

He truly pulled out another check on the spot.

Lin Feng laughed heartily:

"Mr. Chiang, you are truly well-prepared!"

Chiang Tin-Yeung shrugged:

"Making two sets of preparations, isn't that a very natural thing?"

Lin Feng and Liang Kun, the two brothers, exchanged a smile.

Chiang Tin-Yeung smiled and said:

"Now that the matter is settled, I should head back."

Liang Kun was startled by his swift comings and goings:

"Mr. Chiang, why don't you stay here tonight?"

Chiang Tin-Yeung sighed:

"Every family has its own difficulties. If I stay here a moment longer, I'll have to go see my elder brother."

"Right now, I don't want to see him."

Liang Kun was speechless.

Lin Feng called Wang Jianjun:

"Jian Jun, send Mr. Chiang to the airport."

Liang Kun gave Chiang Tin-Yeung a fierce hug:

"Mr. Chiang, I'll remember this friendship."

Chiang Tin-Yeung kept shaking his head:

"Dragon Head, you're helping me make money!"

He came in a hurry and left quickly, truly dashing to the extreme.

Shuiling sighed:

"Hung Hing truly has many talents; this Chiang Tin-Yeung is also a man of character."

Lin Feng smiled and said:

"Mr. Chiang is indeed dashing."

"Well then, it's time for me to make my move!"

Chapter 326: The Tycoon's Confidence

"I've given you the money you wanted."

"How long do you intend to keep me locked up?"

The Tycoon angrily said to George:

"I'm telling you, I'm a person of status. There are too many things at my company that need my attention."

"I can be away for a short time."

"But once a certain period is exceeded, the company will grind to a halt."

"Can you bear that responsibility?!"

George asked in surprise:

"Is that my company?"

The Tycoon shouted:

"That's my company!"

George spread his hands:

"So, what does that have to do with me?"

The Tycoon couldn't believe his ears:

"How many jobs has my company provided for Hong Kong?"

"If something goes wrong, too many people will lose their jobs and become homeless, which will affect social stability."

George was very indifferent:

"So what?"

The Tycoon fumed:

"That will cause social unrest and affect Hong Kong's status as a free port!"

George shook his head:

"Don't think too highly of yourself."

"You're not that important."

The Tycoon was choked, then laughed in exasperation:

"Do you know what you're saying?"

"The Chief Secretary would go mad if he heard you."

George sneered:

"What are you trying to tell me?"

"That the prosperity of Hong Kong was created by you, the Tycoon?"

"On what grounds?"

"Plastic flowers? Or off-plan properties?"

The Tycoon's heart tightened, and he suddenly felt that the person in front of him was not quite right.

George coldly mocked:

"Or are you saying it's because you know many influential officials?"

"I have to admit, the people you know must far exceed my understanding."

"After all, I haven't been in Hong Kong for long."

The Tycoon didn't dare let him continue:

"What exactly do you want?"

"Do you want money? I'll give it to you!"

"Just name a figure."

"It's just money, after all!"

The Tycoon was very generous. The money that ordinary people valued so highly was mostly just a number in his eyes.

And indeed, it was.

Cheuk Tze-keung kidnapped his eldest son and extorted 1.04 billion hong kong dollar, and wasn't it paid?

To smooth things over, the Tycoon gave Grand Duke Andrei 50 million pounds in bearer bonds.

To verify his partnership with the Golden Club, he also unhesitatingly spent 1 billion hong kong dollar.

Any other rich man in Hong Kong would have to think twice about each of these expenditures.

However, in the Tycoon's eyes, these were minor matters; he was just that extravagant.

George couldn't help but sigh:

"You're truly rich!"

The Tycoon said proudly:

"It's just a bit of money."

"I hope we can both be a bit more candid."

"If you need money, it's no problem; just ask."

"As long as it's not too outrageous, I will definitely satisfy you."

"I am a businessman, and I believe in harmony."

"I am also willing to make friends with people from all walks of life; all my friends like me very much."

At this point, the Tycoon said indifferently,

"From the gentlemen of the Governors Office's Three Divisions and Thirteen Bureaus, the heads of various banks, and the leaders of the business community, they are all willing to befriend me."

"And I value their friendship."

"We often play golf together."

The Tycoon watched George without a change in expression.

He wanted to see fear or hesitation on the other's face, but to his disappointment, there was no expression at all.

"So composed?"

"Doesn't seem like a rash young man at all?"

"I must be mistaken."

"If he wasn't rash, how would he dare invite me here?"

"I need to give him enough psychological hints, let him know my power, and once my friends exert pressure, he'll compromise."

The Tycoon secretly calculated. However, he suddenly heard a sentence from George, and his face instantly changed dramatically.

"A while ago, did you say similar things to Cheuk Tze-keung?"

The Tycoon snorted coldly:

"He's a desperado."

Indeed.

Everyone knew that Hong Kongs richest man was the Tycoon, and no one dared to provoke him, yet Cheuk Tze-keung actually kidnapped his eldest son.

It was simply incomprehensible.

The other party didn't even care about the Police Station.

Didn't the poor just want money?

Give it to him!

However, in the Tycoon's heart, Cheuk Tze-keung was already a dead man!

Such a fellow couldn't control his desires and would sooner or later destroy himself!

The Tycoon had made this judgment.

George said with a chuckle:

"You're afraid of him?"

The Tycoon said seriously:

"He's a desperado."

He was a valuable person; why should he fight for his life with these poor wretches?

It wasn't worth it!

The Tycoon always prioritized his own safety.

George said with a laugh:

"You're afraid of that scoundrel Cheuk Tze-keung, but not me?"

"I am the Superintendent of the Political Department."

The Tycoon laughed:

"Desperadoes are unreasonable, but the Police Station is reasonable."

George burst out laughing:

"Are you trying to say that you disdain dealing with small fry like me?"

"Are you trying to say that you can use your influence to make me comply, right?"

The Tycoon smiled reservedly.

George sneered:

"It seems you don't know enough about me."

"That's my mistake."

"Well then, let me introduce myself."

"Besides my identity as the Superintendent of the Political Department, I have another identity that I need to tell you."

"I am a senior employee of the Anglo-Saxon Telecommunications Bureau."

The Tycoon was completely bewildered:

"Can a senior employee of the Telecommunications Bureau be the Superintendent of the Police Political Department?"

George was speechless, choked by the Tycoon's ignorance.

"That's my mistake; I forgot you're not an Anglo-Saxon."

The Tycoon's face changed dramatically.

This touched a raw nerve for him. Sometimes he wondered, why wasn't he an Anglo-Saxon?

"The Anglo-Saxon Telecommunications Bureau is a special designation."

"Local Anglo-Saxons sometimes also refer to it as the Permanent Undersecretary's Office."

"Of course, these are all disguises; they are all fake."

"The true name of this agency is the Military Intelligence Agency."

"I am a senior agent of the Military Intelligence Agency!"

The Tycoon couldn't believe his ears:

"Wait, you're a senior agent?"

"Then why are you looking for me?"

Suddenly, he felt that things were getting serious.

The Tycoon didn't really care about an ordinary Police Station Superintendent.

He dealt with leaders from the Three Divisions and Thirteen Bureaus, and he didn't even care about the Police Commissioner of the Police Station.

However, the identity of a Military Intelligence Agency agent was completely beyond his control.

The Tycoon had no connections with the Military Intelligence Agency at all.

And indeed, what respectable person would have dealings with these spies?

That's just nonsense!

"I don't recall having any business dealings with you."

George said with a laugh:

"I don't recall any business dealings either."

"But there's no choice; I can only follow orders from the Anglo-Saxon Headquarters."

The Tycoon's heart suddenly sank:

"Anglo-Saxon Headquarters?"

"Inviting me here, is it the intention of the Anglo-Saxon Headquarters?"

"Are you bluffing me?!"

George sighed:

"This is a Garrison base. I originally thought that after you arrived here, you would have some change."

"It's a pity you didn't notice that this is a military camp."

The Tycoon's face changed dramatically.

George's words touched his sore spot.

Yes, this was a military camp.

It had always been off-limits to unauthorized personnel.

The Tycoon tried not to think about why George would bring him here.

In fact, when George and Elizabeth went to his office to find him, the Tycoon wasn't afraid.

In his opinion, there must have been some misunderstanding.

At most, he'd ask someone to mediate, and if he were truly accused, then the company's legal department could step in.

He never expected that he wouldn't be taken to the Police Station Headquarters, but instead to a military camp.

In this place, let alone lawyers, even the heads of the Three Divisions and Thirteen Bureaus couldn't easily enter.

The Anglo-Saxon Garrison soldiers were unreasonable.

"I already said that the attack on Grand Duke Andrei has nothing to do with me."

"I respect Grand Duke Andrei too much to harm him."

"How could I harm him!"

The Tycoon quickly lowered his status and eagerly defended himself.

"I truly didn't harm him!"

George said with a stern face:

"Just because you say so, it's not true?"

"Let me ask you, was the transaction between Grand Duke Andrei and you a top secret?"

The Tycoon quickly said:

"Yes!"

After a moment of hesitation, he added,

"It was top secret on my end, but I can't guarantee that Grand Duke Andrei's side didn't leak the information."

George looked at the Tycoon curiously:

"Are you saying that Grand Duke Andrei deliberately leaked the information, and then walked into your transaction location?"

"You know how much he trusted you."

"As a stranger in Hong Kong, he dismissed his bodyguard team and went to an unfamiliar place alone."

"And then... he was attacked twice."

"He fainted twice directly."

"The last time, even his bodyguard lost his life."

"According to you, Grand Duke Andrei deliberately leaked the information, deliberately let people come to trouble him, deliberately let himself suffer two concussions, and deliberately let his subordinates die?"

"You must know that G4 agents were completely unaware of the Tycoon's two whereabouts."

"Grand Duke Andrei's bodyguards, brought from Anglo-Saxon, were also unaware of his whereabouts. I checked, and during the period Grand Duke Andrei was missing, they stayed honestly at the residence the Hong Kong Government arranged for the Grand Duke and did not move."

"Don't you find it absurd?"

Sweat poured down the Tycoon's face; this indeed defied logic.

George asked:

"Was the transaction between Grand Duke Andrei and you initiated by you?"

The Tycoon nodded:

"Yes."

George continued:

"Were those two locations chosen by you and told to the Grand Duke?"

The Tycoon could only nod:

"Yes."

"Those are two properties under my name, and I can guarantee they are very safe."

"No one knows about them except my trusted confidants."

As soon as he finished speaking, the Tycoon wished he could slap himself.

Why did he speak so definitively?

George immediately said:

"You've admitted it yourself, haven't you?"

"That property is so remote; no one usually goes there at all."

"And you still say you didn't leak the information?"

The Tycoon said with a mournful face:

"I really didn't leak it."

"Grand Duke Andrei is an Imperial Duke. I wanted to bribe him so he could help me with public relations for the Maple Leaf Country's port project."

"I certainly didn't intend to harm him."

George said to Elizabeth:

"Note it down: the Tycoon himself said he intended to bribe an Imperial noble."

Elizabeth repeatedly affirmed.

The Tycoon's expression was very grim.

In any other situation, he would have denied this matter even if it meant death.

However, there was no choice.

The current situation was that if he didn't admit to this matter, he would be charged with attempting to murder an Imperial Duke.

Between two evils, he could only choose the lesser and admit to the former.

The Tycoon gritted his teeth and said:

"I've admitted to something like this, so you should know I'm not lying to you."

George wondered:

"Is it very difficult to verify such a matter?"

The Tycoon angrily said:

"If I didn't admit it myself, how could you make me confess?"

George chuckled:

"You're used to being high and mighty, aren't you?"

"Have you forgotten, the victim, Grand Duke Andrei, is in the military camp just like you."

"Poor Grand Duke Andrei suffered two consecutive attacks, and after a narrow escape, he developed an inexplicable fear of Hong Kong."

"He doesn't even trust the Governors Office now."

"Grand Duke Andrei pleaded for General Cunningham's protection."

Elizabeth recorded with a straight face, doing her best to control her expression, afraid she might laugh out loud.

The officer really knows how to lie.

Did Grand Duke Andrei want to come to the military camp himself?

He was clearly forced by General Cunningham.

But then again, Grand Duke Andrei saying he wanted to go to the military camp for protection was not wrong at all.

No one would suspect it.

The Tycoon could only remain silent.

"I've already checked. Your confidant, Zhuang Qing, purchased 50 million pounds of bearer bonds from HSBC twice."

"The charge of bribing an Imperial Duke is firmly established against you!"

"You can't escape it!"

The Tycoon said helplessly:

"See, I didn't lie to you, did I?"

"If I really wanted to harm Grand Duke Andrei, I wouldn't have left so much evidence."

"I genuinely wanted to ask the Grand Duke to speak on my behalf."

"I'm a businessman; profit always comes first."

"I would absolutely not risk my life to scheme against Grand Duke Andrei."

"The effort and reward are disproportionate."

"No businessman would do such a losing business."

George shrugged:

"I never said you wanted to kill Grand Duke Andrei."

The Tycoon angrily said:

"Didn't you just say that?"

George wondered:

"What I said earlier was that it's possible the news of your transaction was leaked from your side, right?"

George asked Elizabeth, puzzled,

"Didn't I just say that?"

Elizabeth cooperated:

"Officer, you are correct."

"The reason the Tycoon misheard is most likely due to a guilty conscience."

George nodded repeatedly:

"Makes sense!"

What sense? The Tycoon angrily said:

"Don't casually throw dirt on me; after all, I am Hong Kongs richest man."

George sneered:

"Hong Kongs richest man who bribed an Imperial Duke?"

"Indeed, rich people are truly dirty."

The Tycoon was choked speechless, wanting to explode in anger, but George and Elizabeth clearly wouldn't fall for his theatrics.

With a long sigh, he made up his mind.

"George, let's be frank."

"How much money do you ultimately want to let me go?"

George admonished:

"What do you take us for?"

"We are Telecommunications Bureau agents, and this is a military camp. Do you really think any crime can be bought off with money?"

The Tycoon was too lazy to argue that point.

George corrected his words,

"You got one thing wrong. It's not that we're robbing you of your money, but rather, if you want to leave, you need to pay sufficient bail."

The Tycoon quickly said:

"How much money is needed?"

"I'll pay!"

George thought for a moment and said:

"One billion hong kong dollars!"

The Tycoon angrily said:

"You're robbing me!"

George retorted:

"When you gave Cheuk Tze-keung 1.04 billion hong kong dollars, why didn't you say he was robbing you?"

The Tycoon was furious. He dared not get angry at George, so he vented all his anger on Cheuk Tze-keung. He swore in his heart that if he got out, he would find a way to kill Cheuk Tze-keung.

It was all this guy's fault for setting a bad precedent!

The Tycoon endured and endured, then said:

"Cheuk Tze-keung was kidnapping and extortion; you are Military Intelligence Agency agents, so the nature is different."

George chuckled:

"You also know the nature is different, do you?"

The Tycoon was silent.

That's right, Cheuk Tze-keung was just a petty thug, but they were a legitimate violent organization.

George said sternly:

"I advise you to pay the ransom sooner and go out to pull strings and figure things out."

"If you delay too long, perhaps the ransom will be even higher."

"Perhaps... you won't be able to get out!"

Can't get out?

The Tycoon looked at him in horror.

"How can that be?"

George shrugged,

"I'm not lying to you."

"You've gotten yourself into big trouble."

"Did you hear any special sounds today?"

The Tycoon was bewildered:

"I'm detained in the military camp; how could I hear any special sounds?"

Suddenly he remembered something,

"I heard an explosion?"

"But this is a military camp, live-fire training is normal, right?"

George smiled chillingly:

"You're overthinking it. The Anglo-Saxon Garrison's live-fire training does not involve demolitions."

"Unfortunately, because of the information you revealed, Grand Duke Andrei has been in constant danger."

"Today, he was even attacked by a bomb inside the military camp."

"If Thunder Security hadn't performed exceptionally, perhaps you would have been buried with Grand Duke Andrei!"

The Tycoon suddenly stood up, his face devoid of any color:

"A killer dared to commit a crime inside a military camp?"

"Are you kidding me?"

George said with a straight face:

"You are, after all, Hong Kongs richest man. After being locked up for two days, your family must have been frantically trying to get you out."

"But don't you find it strange?"

"Why hasn't a single person come to see you after all this time?"

The Tycoon said blankly:

"Why?"

George looked at him with pity:

"The Anglo-Saxon Cabinet has already issued an official document, demanding a thorough investigation into the details of Grand Duke Andrei's attack."

"No one is allowed to obstruct the investigation."

"Unfortunately, this case has alarmed London, and even if the Governor intervened, it would be impossible."

"If you are truly innocent, quickly pay the ransom and go home to figure things out."

"You, think about it carefully."

Alarmed London?

The Tycoon swayed, almost fainting.

George and Elizabeth closed the door and left the place where the Tycoon was being held.

Elizabeth asked, perplexed:

"Officer, that pager bomb clearly wasn't planted by the Tycoon; he's being framed."

George said coldly:

"Of course I know how wronged he is, but in this situation, do you want to explain the truth to the public?"
