Grimbane's fist came down before the last word finished leaving his mouth.
*BOOM!*
The stone where Arthur had stood a heartbeat earlier exploded outward in a ring of shattered rock.
The shockwave knocked two kneeling fighters from the netherealm flat on their backs, and a crater the width of a house opened in the floor. Grimbane tore his fist free of the ground and swung around, chains whipping through the dust.
Arthur stood a single step to the left, his hands loose at his sides. He hadn't run. He had seen Grimbane's right shoulder dip a breath before the punch began, and he had simply moved to where the blow would not land.
'Heavy and straight,' he thought. 'Nothing hidden in that stance.'
Grimbane roared and came again. His left fist swung in a wide arc, and the chain on his forearm snapped forward like a whip.
*Crack!*
