Erend let out another long sigh. When Veyrun said that every Dragonborn who had mastered the Black Rage had eventually disappeared from history, only one possibility came to his mind. Perhaps they had never truly mastered it at all. Perhaps they had eventually been consumed by it. Or maybe they had chosen death over living with a rage powerful enough to destroy everything around them.
Honestly, Erend could not blame them. If one day he could no longer control the Black Rage after it grew stronger, then perhaps the only choice left would be to end his own life before he became a bringer of destruction.
He only hoped it would never come to that.
"I can see that you're troubled," Veyrun said.
"Yeah?" Erend replied with a sarcastic smile. "You think so? I'm just considering the only possible choice I might have if the Black Rage keeps consuming me."
"You intend to kill yourself."
"...Yes."
The answer came heavily.
