I managed to keep my face neutral after hearing what she said.
"You want me to join you?" I asked, keeping my voice flat and devoid of surprise.
The girl with the twin tails nodded slowly, as though she was not especially receptive of the idea either.
"We value talent above all else and it is clear that you do have an abundance of it. We are willing to… Set aside any past differences we might have had with you… And we wish to start things afresh once more with you, even if you choose not to join us."
Huh… They are basically here to just tell me that they don't mind that I beat them up the first time and would like for us to have a good relationship going forward, aren't they?
Maybe they were worried that I might bear a grudge against them or something and find some way to dismantle them… Which they were obviously of the preference that I did not do that, of course.
