Li Zheng approached the battlefield, focusing his power on his eyes from a distance, trying to discern who was fighting.
Instead, he saw several familiar figures, one in particular surprised him greatly.

As he got closer, the hair on Li Zheng's back stood up: "Ma Long?!"
Besides Ma Long, who was supposed to have become an evil spirit and been killed by him, there was Qian Bu Gou and several members of the Nine Heavens Legion he had seen before; all were acquaintances.
On the opposing side was a group of people in black robes.
The black-robed figures seemed very familiar with the combat techniques of Qian Bu Gou and others, often predicting their moves and exchanging injuries, sometimes even lives, for a hit.
No one knew how long they had been fighting, but now Qian Bu Gou and the others were in very bad condition, almost everyone was severely wounded.
Strangely, there should have been many twisted beasts around, yet Li Zheng gazed around and found none.
