The next morning, Rocco sat up in his bed with heavy dark bags under his eyes. He had slept for about two hours last night since his wolf was not giving him any break.
Rocco stared blankly at the wall for several seconds, his hair sticking out in every possible direction.
Immediately. Rocco's wolf wagged its tail and urged him to go to the forest to investigate the group, but his body was too sleep-deprived to even function well.
"I know something is wrong," Rocco muttered. "What's wrong is that I haven't slept because you kept stirring inside my head." He exclaimed while rubbing his face.
His wolf pouted with ears lowered. It felt as if Rocco had just crushed its excitement.
"Let me drink a cup of coffee first," Rocco muttered as he dragged himself out of bed. His legs felt heavy, his eyes burned, and his entire body was practically begging him to return to the mattress.
Unfortunately, hunger was winning the argument.
