After speaking, she didn't delay any longer and turned to run out of the private room.
Behind her, Nora Hanson smiled and shouted:
"Fiona, good luck!..."
"Mm." Fiona Schmidt stopped in her tracks, turned her head to return a smile, and then went out through the door.
She almost dashed out of the hotel and drove back to the marshal's residence. Along the way, she called Norton Abyss, only to hear a message that his phone was turned off.
Fiona then called Tara Summer, and the call was quickly answered. Tara told her that Norton Abyss wasn't in Night City, and she couldn't reach him, nor did she know his whereabouts.
Fiona was very anxious; after hanging up, she kept trying to call the man again, but there was no response.
Back at the marshal's residence, she had originally planned to pack and go find Norton Abyss, but now there was no need. She didn't even know where he was, so what was the point of packing!?
