"Why did you come back without turning on the light?" Ning Youguang opened the door and turned on the light.
She was startled to see Shi Wangyue standing by the door.
"I was just about to," Shi Wangyue chuckled, "but you're quicker."
Then, his gaze was drawn to the locust flowers and textbooks she was holding, "Did you bring spring home?"
His refined features bore a shocked, amazed expression.
The scene was truly poetic, so amazing, and so beautiful.
"I picked them up on the way home from work, at our school," Ning Youguang handed him the textbooks along with the locust flowers she had tucked inside, "My bag was small today, so I had to tuck them in the textbook."
"You have locust trees at your school." Shi Wangyue gently took some clusters of snow-white locust flowers from Ning Youguang's textbooks.
