What surprised Hill slightly but didn't shock him much was that in the Sia Tower, apart from some activity in the temple where the battle had already begun, there wasn't a shadow of a devil to be seen anywhere else.
Even the high-level mages from the Black Tower and White Tower had vanished without a trace... and there are no low-rank mages in these two towers.

The moment Lansendel descended upon the Sia Tower, and Fengo and Glaysia fled in embarrassment, these shadows immediately abandoned their opponents and slipped away.
