A figure clad in black cloak and two long daggers dangling on his waist, came out of the hut.
The figure looked around, seeing the piles of goblins corpse 100 meters away from him, his silhouette suddenly disappeared.
The next moment, he appeared right at the front of Varius stabbing his dagger.
Varius manage to block the attack dew to his skill 'Danger Sense', he quickly jump away and draw his sword.
Failing his attack, the black cloaked figure gazed at Varius. Seemingly thinking about something.
Seeing an opportunity, Varius used his skill 'Charge' as he rush towards the black cloak figure with his shield.
He followed up with 'Roar', causing the black figure to fail to dodge.
Knocking back the figure, Varius slashed his sword downward towards the figure using the skill 'Chop'.
Varius suddenly felt something was wrong, the slash he made only hit a cloth.
His danger sense suddenly went haywire, he duck barely evading a slash towards his neck.
Varius turned around and unleash 'Wind Blade', hitting nothing but air.
Varius looked warily at the surroundings, waiting for an attack.
He dash side ways and rolled over, a slashing sound was heard after he evade.
'This can't go on, sooner or later he will catch me off guard.'
Varius thought of many ideas to finish his opponent, he dodge and dodge again and again.
Finally feeling the attack from behind, Varius charge forward and quickly turned around releasing wind blades.
A figure suddenly appeared with sword wounds on his body, a goblin wearing light armor suitable for swift movement.
Seeing this, Varius didn't give time for the goblin to react. He hurriedly used chop and roar to confuse the enemy.
Varius slashed and pierced, using every sword technique he new of.
Thou the skill 'Weapon Mastery' gave Varius to learn any types of weapons, it only gave him the knowledge to use it and not how to use it.
Varius still need to learn the corresponding techniques, sadly Varius only new the basic movements of each weapons that he learned from school.
Without a powerful technique and lacking active skills, Varius can't finish of his enemy in one go.
During his attacks, Varius successfully injure the Goblin Assassin. But after the goblin regain his focus he quickly retaliated, resulting Varius to also have wounds.
The fight was at a stalemate, neither one can gain the upperhand. If the fight continues, both of them will have a bad ending.
Seeing his sorry state, Varius kept trying to create a perfect opportunity to kill the goblin.
After all of his skill cooldowned, Varius Roared violently. Seeing the Roar made the goblin stun for a second, Varius used Wind blades to cut the legs of the goblin.
Seeing his attack failed. Varius followed up with charge and chop still aiming at the leg of the goblin.
Varius new that to win this fight, he need to corner the goblin to limit its movements. And the best way he thought of is to cut one of its limbs.
The fight gone off for a few minutes, before he successfully sliced one of the goblin's leg.
Seeing such a great opportunity, Varius didn't waste time as he ended its life.
Killing the goblin, Varius successfully reached level 8. The higher his level, the lower the exp he gained from killing creatures that leveled lower then him.
After the fight ended, Varius checked the goblin's dagger. Seeing that the dagger is a 2 star weapon he quickly looted it.
Now Varius had two 2 star weapons, the bow and the two new daggers.
Thinking that he can obtain another 2 star weapon if he defeated the Mutated Goblin Fighter, Varius couldn't help but feel a burst of joy.
Thou he felt happy at the moment, Varius never forgot the earlier incident. He quickly rested beside his hiding spot, he checked his new gains after the battle.

But even with its small number, Varius new that he can only become stronger if he can integrate the skills he obtained to his battle style.
After regaining his energy, Varius resumed his journey in the forest.
His next goal is to eliminate the Goblin Fighter's army, while traveling, Varius continued to train his skills so he can use it effeciently in a fight.

After traveling for a while, Varius met a dozen of students forming a group.
"Hey, what is going on? Why form a group?"
He decided to asked certain details of the group, Varius quicky found a nearby person asked
"Oh,.. You asked the right person my man."
"We are gathering the students to kill the boss monster.".
"Earlier, we found the goblin camp."
"With our average level being 5, we can surely crush this monsters."
The boy talked endlessly, he kept praising his and his teammates skills.
Hearing this overly talkative boy, Varius decided to end the conversation.
He departed after knowing the groups purpose, thous he new the real strength of the camp he didn't warn them, he was not a saint to begin with.
Leaving the place, Varius also headed for the camp. He new that with his strength now, he was no match to the Mutated Goblin Fighter.
He new that he still need to get stronger, and the only way to he can be stronger is to massacre the camp.
Varius quickly reached the camp.
