Argenton gritted his teeth as he unleashed an onslaught of superluminal laser beams at the Divine Mothers. Each laser beam was made out of an impossible light that was produced by Legislated matter. The laws governing the electromagnetism of his machines were already highly divergent; the speed of light was much greater, allowing him to successfully snip them with attacks that they couldn't react to.

The Divine Mothers easily withstood his attacks without much effort. Their bodies were much tougher than he had expected, but more than anything, with even a little bit of effort, their Webverses could make them practically completely immune to his offense.
