Kane studied the man, nodding. "Good to meet you, Mr. Seaton. Can you help me understand exactly where I'm going to be deployed?"
Even though Kane wasn't a part of the military, he had been commissioned through a complex conscription mechanism that entailed conscripting the Kandrian Empire, which in turn conscripted the Martial Union through the Kandrian Martial Covenant, which involved his own conscription. He hadn't been given any details as to where he would be deployed, not yet.
"Unfortunately, because we are short on time, we haven't been able to offer complete disclosure to all of our conscripts, even highly esteemed ones such as yourself," Mr. Seaton smiled at Kane apologetically. "But rest assured, I have received the details of your deployment. You will be deployed to the Empiercer LXXVI of the 26th Sol Carrier Fleet in the Seventeenth Armada of the Strategic World Bridge Force."
