When Ye Wan arrived at the classroom, there were only about a dozen people left.
She looked around but didn't see Jiang Keer. It dawned on Ye Wan that Jiang Keer went to film.
No one chatted with her about gossip during breaks anymore.
There was no compatible lunch buddy in the cafeteria at noon either.
Ye Wan was eating while texting Jiang Keer on WeChat.
She thought Jiang Keer would be too busy to respond since she just joined the crew, likely with her phone in the assistant's hands, so Ye Wan sent the message and didn't think much of it.
She hadn't even taken a bite of her braised pork when her phone dinged.
"Sister Wan, Sister Wan..."
On the other end, Jiang Keer was excited, "A supporting actor in the crew has an emergency and can't make it. Can you come do a cameo and save the day?"
"Of course, I can!"
"??? Sister Wan, aren't you going to ask what role it is?"
"No need to ask! You wouldn't ask me to cameo something ugly and annoying, right!"
