We arrived at his house and he forced me to go inside. He takes his shoes off and tells me to sit at the kitchen island and I listen because I'm too tired to fight back. Little prick. I'd kick his ass if it was any other day. He starts pulling food and pans out and setting them on the counter.
Vi: "Is this necessary?"
Lucas: "Not if you're gonna have an attitude like that."
Vi: "Well it's not like it's not deserved."
He didn't say anything back. There was a pause before anyone said anything. Then he sighs.
Vi: "What Lucas?"
Lucas: "So.. Who is he?"
Vi: "Really?"
Lucas: "Look, you are far from okay right now". The least you could do is share some information about the person putting you in this position."
Vi: "...He really is just a friend", I replied after taking a long pause.
Lucas: "Is your 'friend" aware of the state he's left you in?"
Vi: "...He won't answer his phone..".
Lucas: "Some friend."
I jumped up from my seat and yelled at him.
Vi: "You're such a dick, you know that? You always have something to say about things that have absolutely nothing to do with you and you only ever do it to me. It's one thing if every once in a while but it's all the time. It's like you're obse-".
Everything stopped.
All that is heard is the sound of water running from the faucet. Lucas had stopped me dead in my tracks in the midst of my rage with the touch of his lips on mine. His arms softly wrapped around my waist with careful consideration.
He unlocks our lips but doesn't allow space to come between us.
Lucas: "I am, you little asshole…. You've made it so hard not to be", he says as he releases his hold on my waist still withholding the possibility of space separating us.
What the hell?
