Isiah felt more confident in his powers. Unless something went wrong because of the companions with him, he had a huge chance of beating these soldiers.
After sharing duties with Ethyl, he cast a cold look at the others when they came to his side. They had been faced with two bad choices, and yet they chose one of the worst options imaginable.
Eijar leaned towards Isiah's neck, wanting him to know that she was supporting him in this no matter what. She then looked over at Ciel, who was now with Ethyl. Without Isiah even telling her to go, Eijar quickly crawled toward Ciel before the fight could start.
Isiah smiled faintly when he saw her do that. She finally understood what was important to him and acted on it.
He then looked at Visdaf's people as they were getting closer.
