The violent struggle to outrun the gale while resisting the realm's gravitational pull was utterly exhausting. When Isiah had severed his dark bindings, the sudden surge of momentum had thrown him into a shock, hurling his body through the air at terrifying speed.
Behind him, the hellhound had pursued without a single second of hesitation, entirely reckless of the reality that approaching the vortex could drag it into nonexistence.
"Move, master!" Eijar hissed in his ear.
Isiah offered no reply. He held his position as best he could, feeling the gravitational field swell in strength with every passing breath.
"I know you swore you would not die," Eijar added, her voice trembling with genuine terror. "Yet at this rate, I am utterly convinced we are going to perish together!"
In that split second of desperation, Isiah's mind flashed to a spell he had learned during his time in Summit.
