Chapter 103 - Not a coincidence...

The water in that river was so scorching that had Isiah been operating on divine energy, his flesh would have boiled off his bones instantly. Instead, his diabolic core adapted, leaving him merely struggling against the turbulent current to stay afloat.

Isiah knew how to swim. Back on Earth, his parents had forced him into countless elite academies, driven by an obsessive desire to mold him into their ideal, accomplished successor.

He had taken endless specialized classes from a young age, acquiring a wide array of practical skills, including advanced swimming.

The sudden panic of jumping into the boiling river had left him trembling violently, but once he oriented himself in the water, his old training kicked in, allowing him to regain his balance.

"That was far too close," Isiah gasped, treading the scalding water. "I genuinely thought I was going to die... The fall was so high and the water so hot that my mind instantly jumped to the worst possible outcome."
