Isiah wasn't thinking clearly, blinded by pure rage the moment he sensed a threat. There was something profoundly mysterious about this night and the unnatural changes surging through his vessel.
It was as though all his physical senses heightened and stabilized the second he locked eyes with the very people who had tormented him.
"One down, more to come," Isiah murmured, his eyes shifting toward the few men standing closest to him.
"You killed him! You... monster!" one of the men shrieked, falling to his knees beside his friend's smoking corpse.
Isiah smirked as he exchanged cold stares with the man. "Just like I am going to kill the rest of you. Don't rush your turn."
The man spat a string of loud curses, lowering his friend's body onto the dirt before glaring up at Isiah. "I don't know how you survived all those blade wounds, but the fact that you murdered our former leader and stand there completely unharmed proves we made a mistake by underestimating your powers!"
