Little Taotie and Ghost chatted for quite a while before they noticed the teacher had returned. They went up and sweetly greeted the teacher, asking her whether things were settled with Head Grandpa.
Lou Lan nodded: "I've already spoken to him. From now on, you'll spend the first two hours of the morning with me at the Special Department. After those two hours, you'll be assigned other tasks."
Little Taotie pointed to a void in mid-air, where, from Little Taotie's perspective, floated a dead fish-eyed Ghost. But in Lou Lan's view, nothing was there.
"He said he drowned, maybe his brain got waterlogged, and he can't remember anything."
Lou Lan nodded, having already conducted an initial examination of the corpse, and indeed, it drowned.
But she couldn't quite agree with the "brain got waterlogged" statement.
Lou Lan tactfully said, "Is it possible that before he fell into the water, his head was severely struck, causing him to lose his memory?"
