The morning breeze caressed his face. Standing on the shoreline, Yang Lujia observed Lin Diyu. The boy sat cross-legged at the edge of the pitch-black lake. The boy's eyes were closed. His breathing was slow and deliberate.
Right beside him, Qin Tou floated in mid-air, trying to mimic Lin Diyu's meditative posture, despite lacking a physical body to cultivate. Then, after a minute, he would open one eye to look at Lin Diyu and find him still meditating.
This bored Qin Tou, so he splashed ink from the lake onto Lin Diyu, but the latter remained focused on what he was doing. Qin Tou pouted, dived into the lake without hesitation, and tried to find something interesting.
Then, he would emerge from the lake from time to time, laughing his heart out. He even found sect disciples at the shoreline, started looking at them closely, and sometimes giggled while listening to their conversations.
"So funny! So funny!" He clutched his stomach as he laughed. "What is that! Hahaha!"
