Elena smiled as an idea struck her.
"Actually, I was thinking we could organize a poetry reading at a local tavern. We'll invite all the eligible bachelors and attractive shopkeepers in town, and you can perform some of your best work. It'll be a great opportunity to meet new people and show them what you're capable of."
Beau's eyes widened.
"That's… that's a wonderful idea!" His face lit up with renewed enthusiasm. "I have several pieces I've been working on lately. Some poetry, a few songs… I think I could put together a decent performance! And maybe, just maybe, I'll finally meet someone who appreciates me for who I am."
"Sounds like a plan," Elena replied. "Let's get to work."
Ren said nothing. He had his doubts about the whole arrangement, but if this was what it took to complete the quest, he might as well play along.
Besides, a poetry reading sounded considerably less troublesome than whatever other ideas Elena might come up with.
