The Vine Men suddenly attacked Ren all at once.
Their bodies twisted as dozens of vines shot toward him like whips.
Ren reacted immediately.
A shimmering barrier formed around him just as the first vines struck.

The vines bounced harmlessly off the shield.
Ren didn't even flinch.

He raised his hand and released a powerful blast of energy.
The attack tore through the air toward the nearest Vine Man.
But the creature was surprisingly agile.
It twisted its body and leaped aside.
The blast missed completely.
Ren clicked his tongue.
