Anansi's body swelled, his monstrous form growing even larger. Sharp, venom-dripping fangs gleamed beneath his maw, while thick, bristling hairs covered his eight deadly legs. His many eyes glittered with malevolent intelligence, making him look less like a beast and more like a nightmare given shape.
Pii, on the other hand, was even larger than Anansi in its true form. Thick black fur covered its body, and its emerald-green eyes glowed with crackling magic.
Anansi lunged first, snapping his fangs at Pii.
But Pii was faster.
It sprang aside in a graceful leap, avoiding the bite entirely. The moment it landed, it raised one massive paw and released a burst of green energy that slammed straight into Anansi's abdomen.
The High God shrieked in pain and fury.
Its legs thrashed wildly, tearing up the earth and throwing dust and debris into the air.
While the two giant monsters fought, Ren had his own problem to deal with.
