Before Malique attacked Kagna, Shanzo had felt that there was something wrong with the house, the big room that they were in. He had felt it ever since they stepped into the house.
Unlike the other stone houses, he could sense something unusual about the one that they had walked into.
He could not put his finger on it until Malique slapped the back of his head and sent a shock wave to his body. The ground underneath him seemed to react to him becoming electric and Shanzo noticed it.
It was not something a natural rock would react to lightning and during the time Kagna was talking to the two, Shanzo was trying to figure out why the room felt different.
That was when he realized that his intuition was spot on. Using his detect spell inside the room as Kagna was about to finish talking and their fight was about to begin, he found something that he could not detect outside due to the fact that it was constantly being drained of its mana and that it was almost depleted.
