The two emerged from the small woods one after the other. The others, still at the barbecue, looked them over curiously upon their return.
"Did you two make up?" Sylvie Lockwood asked.
These two were cut from the same cloth; neither was really to blame. It was likely just a matter of bruised egos, not some deep-seated feud. There was nothing they couldn't get past.
Ryder Sharp sat down right next to her. "Handled."
'Handled?'
Sebastian Lockwood's head was throbbing. 'How is this in any way handled?'
He had just sat down when Ryder Sharp immediately handed him a cob of corn. "Here, eat."
"What do you think you're doing?" Sebastian Lockwood frowned. 'I really don't need this.'
"Taking care of you."
"..."
"You haven't eaten much tonight. As both your senior and your brother-in-law, I have to take care of you," Ryder Sharp said matter-of-factly, which only made Sebastian Lockwood's blood boil.
He's certainly adapting to his new identity quickly.
