After the Lockwoods left, the Sharps weren't ready for bed either.
The incident with Mrs. Chandler had upset everyone, and they hadn't eaten much all day. After the commotion of the evening, they were all getting hungry. So, Jane Spencer cooked some noodles, and Ronald Sharp whipped up a couple of stir-fried dishes. The four of them gathered around the table for a late-night meal.
When the topic of Sebastian Lockwood climbing over the wall came up, even Jane Spencer felt it was inappropriate.
"If he wants to come see you in the future, have him use the front door. Climbing over the wall is quite dangerous."
Sydney Sawyer mumbled her assent and nodded.
Ryder Sharp: "Climbing a wall. He's really got some nerve."
But Ronald Sharp suddenly put down his chopsticks. "How about this? I'll have someone take down the wall and railing between the balconies another day and connect them. You'll all be family soon anyway."
The other three: "..."
Sydney Sawyer gave an awkward laugh.
