'Sebastian's parents... are already back?'
Sydney Sawyer wasn't at all prepared to meet them. Besides, something had just happened at home, and the living room was a total mess. Ronald Sharp patted her shoulder. "Don't worry about cleaning up. Come with me and meet them."
"Okay," Sydney Sawyer agreed with a nod, exchanging a look with Jane Spencer.
"It's okay, don't be scared."
Jane Spencer thought her daughter was just frightened by the earlier incident.
She reached out, tucked a few stray wisps of hair behind Sydney's ear, and straightened her clothes. "You look fine."
Sydney Sawyer followed Ronald Sharp out of the living room.
The first thing she saw was the middle-aged couple standing next to Sebastian Lockwood.
