Sebastian Lockwood held Sydney Sawyer's hand tightly and stated candidly,
"What are you talking about? Syd and I are dating properly."
"You..." Whatever Mr. Lockwood was about to say caught in his throat. "What did you just say?"
"My girlfriend, Sydney Sawyer."
Sydney Sawyer pursed her lips, glanced at her mother and Ronald Sharp, and then her eyes landed on Ryder Sharp, who was leaning against the wall without a word.
"My boyfriend, Sebastian Lockwood."
Everyone: "..."
"The girlfriend you wanted us to meet... is her?" Julian Chambers pressed.
"Yes. Syd was actually planning to talk to Mr. Sharp and Ms. Spencer about us meeting the parents today, but something came up, and she never got the chance," Sebastian Lockwood explained.
"How long have you been together?"
"We started dating after Syd moved to Aethelgard."
Everyone looked at each other. It hadn't been long, but it wasn't exactly a short time, either.
