Even Mr. Lockwood thought Sydney Sawyer must have been bullied.
Ronald Sharp had asked him to look after her before he left, and the three Talbots had come looking for his family. If Sydney Sawyer was bullied and got into trouble because of them, Mr. Lockwood would have no way of explaining it to the Sharp Family.
When he arrived at the scene, he was stunned for several seconds.
Shayla Talbot was being helped up from the ground.
She was covered in ice cream. Since she had been slapped to the ground, the ice cream was now mixed with mud and dirt. Her once-bright clothes were a mess, to say nothing of the red handprints on both of her cheeks.
Sydney Sawyer, however, was standing nearby, completely unharmed.
This wasn't a fight. It was clearly a one-sided beatdown!
"Shayla, how did you end up like this!"
Faye Callahan rushed to her daughter's side, her heart aching at the sight of her.
"I don't get it either. She... why would she hit me for no reason!"
