After Sydney Sawyer returned home, she received a call from Jane Spencer. Jane said their plane had just landed and they were heading to baggage claim. Ryder Sharp was already at the airport, so Sydney didn't need to worry.
"Are Sir and Madam on their way back?" Mrs. Chandler asked with a smile.
"Yes. They should be home in about an hour and a half."
"In that case, I'll go to the yard and pull up some chives to make them a cold dish." With that, Mrs. Chandler opened the door and headed out.
The Sharp family's yard had some flowers and plants, with a small patch of chives tucked away in a corner.
Mrs. Chandler had just returned with the chives when Timmy Lockwood, who had just finished his meat, seized the opportunity as she opened the door to slip out through the gap.
"Timmy!" Sydney Sawyer quickly chased after him.
Unlike a dog, a cat could scale walls and rooftops. It was small and agile, and once it slipped into a hiding spot, it was truly hard to find.
