Casey Huxley's escape was cut short. He turned to face Ryder Sharp, whose expression was blank and his gaze icy. Ryder shot a look at Sydney Sawyer, giving Casey a clear enough hint. Not being one to procrastinate, Casey made his decision and strode over to the Sawyer siblings.
His expression was one of bracing for death.
"I'm sorry!"
"It's okay." Sydney Sawyer smiled at him.
He had just been giving her a hard time, yet Sydney Sawyer was giving him such a brilliant smile. It made Casey Huxley a little uncomfortable. He awkwardly shifted his gaze to Chester Sawyer. Their eyes met, and he coughed lightly before calling out:
"Grandpa!"
Chester Sawyer was dumbfounded. Honestly, it was just a joke, not something to be taken seriously. He never expected Casey Huxley to actually, earnestly call him "Grandpa." It left Chester at a loss for words.
"I still owe you a performance of 'Conquer.' I'll make it up to you later."
"Oh, okay..."
