Sydney Sawyer watched the person slowly approaching them.
As they drew closer, Shayla Talbot smiled. "I didn't expect to see you twice in one day. What a coincidence. Are you here with a friend?"
"Yeah."
Shayla Talbot glanced at the closed bar beside them, seeming to guess something. "The bars here open pretty late. What are you looking to do? I come here often, so I can give you some recommendations."
"No need. We're just looking around. Miss Talbot, please don't let us keep you if you're busy."
After a few more pleasantries, Sydney Sawyer gestured for Chester Sawyer to leave with her.
Shayla Talbot stared at her retreating back, then glanced at the bar again.
'How could the Sharp Family take in a stepdaughter like her? She's so tacky and low-class. Trying to get into a bar in the middle of the day, no less. Even from a distance, I could see that boy next to her gawking at everything, looking like he's never seen anything in his life.'
'But why is she here?'
