Sydney Sawyer was naturally surprised she couldn't reach either of them.
"What's wrong?" Sebastian Lockwood asked, noticing her expression.
"My brother and your sister aren't answering their phones."
While stopped at a red light, Sebastian Lockwood also took out his phone and called his sister. The call went through, but no one answered. "They're probably busy."
Sebastian naturally meant "busy" in the literal sense, but Sydney Sawyer looked down, rubbing her phone. 'They already had dinner. What could those two be busy with? Why aren't they answering?'
"You spent the afternoon shopping with my sister and dealing with Chester. Are you tired?" Sebastian asked.
"I'm okay."
In truth, she was quite happy that Chester had come over. After all, he was funny and likable.
"Should we head home now? Or..." Sebastian tapped his fingers lightly on the steering wheel. "Want to go somewhere for a bit?"
"Where do you want to go?"
