Sylvie Lockwood hadn't expected Ryder Sharp to say something like that so suddenly.
She'd been in the professional world for a long time. When dealing with people, she always had to hide her true thoughts. Everyone wore a mask, and some things were always said vaguely.
Suddenly encountering someone so straightforward, she was really a little…
Overwhelmed.
"At this height, you don't feel any pressure?"
His sudden proximity was so unexpected that she could almost feel his breath. It was just like him—forceful and intense, impossible to ignore.
They were usually so close that it was easy to forget they were different genders. But suddenly, like this…
"This… is okay." Sylvie Lockwood forced a smile.
"Don't take what that person said today to heart."
"Huh?"
Ryder Sharp's way of speaking was too disjointed; Sylvie Lockwood had some trouble following his train of thought.
"A lot of people like you…"
"As long as you're willing, someone will want to marry you."
