"Hmm? We're going home?" Sydney Sawyer's cheeks were flushed red, her eyes glazed over. She looked up at Sebastian Lockwood, every bit the part of a little drunk. "Are we done drinking?"
Sebastian Lockwood tightened his grip on her hand and said in a low voice, "We're done. Let's go home."
"Okay."
Sydney Sawyer was surprisingly compliant, letting him lead her by the hand as Sebastian Lockwood said his goodbyes to Mr. Chandler and the others.
"We're off tomorrow, stay a little longer! I haven't even had a drink with you, why are you leaving so soon?" one of his colleagues urged.
Sebastian Lockwood declined with a smile. "I can't. The young lady has had too much to drink, so I'm going to take her home first."
