Chapter 177 - Eidolon's Victory Over Evil

......…..

Third Person P.O.V.

Real World

The world is undergoing a silent change, and the vast majority of the population is completely unaware of it.

The few humans with knowledge of what is happening are not making a big deal of it, moving to act silently because they know the fallout will be nothing short of catastrophic.

The world will wake up tomorrow differently. It will be shocking.

Heroes and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents start paying a visit to some very important people, but they are not the guests anyone would expect.

Luckily, it is mostly peaceful; there is no really dangerous fight that breaks out beyond some minor scuffles, but S.H.I.E.L.D. is not playing around. Status and power mean nothing now that they have the evidence and the support of the heroes; they treat those important people like the criminals they are, taking them down efficiently and without wasting time if they show a smidgen of resistance.

An example of the many raids they carried out was when Captain America led a team to go around Washington, D.C. The war hero confidently leaves a dark van of S.H.I.E.L.D. and walks to the front of a mansion

He is in his full Captain America gear, with his shield on his back.

"We already cut communications between all the targets; one can't warn the other." An agent informs him as he walks alongside him.

"Good. Let's ring the doorbell." The hero says, as if he is not in the middle of an operation.

"Eidolon organized all our targets to be American politicians." Peggy says on his comm.

"Better than me going to Hollywood," Steve replies with some dark humor. He read what he could, and what they are going to clean up in Hollywood is disgusting.

"I kinda envy Black Widow for going there; I bet she is treating them like they deserve." She says with a vengeful tone.

"I bet we are gonna have our fill here."

It goes surprisingly smoothly. Not that the politician, owner of the house, doesn't suspect that he is in trouble, but what could he do?

Deny entrance to Captain America? National superhero? Of course not.

He should smile and welcome the hero into his home, even though the leader of the Avengers is showing a hardened, unfriendly face rather than pretending to be nice.

"Senator Marson, you are under arrest. Don't resist." Captain America says, looking down on the man, his eyes dark.

Around him, the agents start moving inside the home like they own the place, ignoring the shouts of protest from the family.

"I am under arrest? That-that is ridiculous!" The senator exclaims, "You can't be serious!"

"I will not waste time arguing with you. The fact that I am here should be enough for you to understand that we are serious." Captain America speaks with the tone of a war veteran, zero niceties, no bullshit, just a hardened warrior.

The senator splutters, but he can't say anything else as two agents handcuff him expertly.

"One done, and it's sad that there is more to go." Steve sighs

"They already existed; now we are just aware of them. Don't be sad about getting rid of them." Peggy says to him through the comms

"You are right." He nods, "Now, who is next?"

"I am glad you are so eager; we are in for a long night."

......…

As much as some arrests are easy because it is overkill to use superheroes against normal people, some are not that simple.

Especially the ones Eidolon reserved for his own group.

For example, there is a real cult of demons called Baalists that partake in human sacrifice to gain some measly powers given by the demons. Powers that are even weaker than the average vampire, but powerful nonetheless.

Some powerful people actually gain power, or at least have powerful bodyguards. They are either meta-human mercenaries they hired or victims of experiments that those rich people would not do on themselves.

In one such location, the Baalists are gathered underground to perform their nefarious rituals.

All of them are using dark robes and circling an altar, kneeling to the statues of the demons they worship. There is no sacrifice yet, but blood bags have already been emptied from them drinking and used to smear the altar.

And in such a place that seems to put great importance on blood, Hector released her.

Bam

A woman drops from the ceiling right onto the altar, her pink hair fluttering in the wind.

"Power is here!!" The Blood Devil shouts while striking a pose

"..." The whole place falls into an uncomfortable silence after the sudden development

"Eh? That is the moment you guys cheer, you know?" She looks around, confused. "Aren't you guys worshiping devils? I am a devil!!" She smiles, showing her rows of pointed teeth, while pointing at herself with her thumb.

"..."

"Get her!" Someone finally shouts, and everything becomes chaotic. The Baalists stand up to attack Power, all of them baring their fangs like vampires.

"Ah! I knew all humans were deceitful and ungrateful! But you guys are also dumb!" She comments with an awestruck expression, "Die then!"

All the blood in the place moves to obey her commands, coalescing into a weapon in her hand.

A massacre happens in this underground temple, one that the world doesn't need to know about.

......…

Mirror Dimension

Back to the Mirror Dimension, the last exchange between Eidolon and the duo of demons created such a level of destruction that it paused the fight for some time.

The ocean is in chaos as it tries to return to its normal state, the waters moving wildly; swirls and huge waves fill the surface. It is also raining seawater so heavily that sometimes they fall together in huge bodies of water, like a waterfall or even in a giant sphere.

Amidst all that, Eidolon is still like a statue. Only his mantle is moving with the wild wind while he stays locked in the air and stares ahead.

His eyes scan the chaotic area for an instant before he finds his target… Moloch.

He didn't need his outstanding detective and observational skills to notice that Moloch wasn't the brightest mind in the group. Maybe the demon once was, but something has turned him into more of a beast than a scheming demon.

Of course, he appears to be even more dangerous than Asteroth, with his unique powers and great destructive moves that don't lose to the Gravity Manipulator.

But it seems he needs the direction of the other demon to reach his full potential and use it in battle. Normally, it is the right move to get rid of the "brain" of any group of enemies, so that the rest lose their coordination and fighting power.

But Asteroth is not a fragile target.

So the animalistic demon becomes Eidolon's focus in this fight.

Taking advantage of the fact that the whole battlefield has low visibility at the moment, Eidolon uses many powers to erase his presence and move silently to his target.

He shuts down his life force, aura, and any energy that he emits to the maximum… He even "empties his mind" so as not to leak thoughts and intentions. He becomes invisible and intangible, even leaving behind weak clones to serve as decoys.

He doesn't use any teleportation ability; he flies only at an average speed, but eventually he is exactly where he wants to be… above Moloch.

The creature is looking in another direction, probably at one of his decoys, tentacles wiggling all over the place while his pink body pulses in a disgusting way.

Eidolon's eyes are still hollow; not a smidge of his real intentions is shown in his pupils that dazedly look down.

The hero doesn't fly down; instead, he just allows himself to fall, embracing gravity and readies his arm to strike.

Moloch only became aware of danger when Eidolon touched his back, and he barely noticed that, too. The hero didn't attack per se; physically, he only touched the beastly demon.

But that is enough for Eidolon… After all, the quantity of powers he has of the Striker classification is enough to create a starry sky.

And he uses all of them at that moment.

Meta-Powers: Striker - Powers that are touch-based, normally being able to alter the object or person they touch in some way. Because of the melee range restriction, they are famous for being incredibly dangerous, and caution is advised when dealing with any Meta-Human of the Striker Classification.

It is not weird for a Striker power to be a hit-kill on a normal person, but Moloch is not a normal being…

Eidolon is not normal either.

The moment his hand touches the demon, he unleashes all the powers he can, all of them.

"AAAAAAaaaRGGHHGHGHGHH!!!" Moloch immediately rages in pain.

It is not a surprise, not only is his back decaying and being destroyed, but his innards are being wrecked invisibly. His blood is boiling at sun-level temperatures, and is also raging inside, and blood constructs are being formed to hurt him internally…

And that is only Eidolon using his recently acquired vampire powers from Cadis Etrama di Raizel.

Moloch's body is paralyzed, locked into place, slowed down to a crawl, he loses his senses, he is assaulted by invisible pain, organs shut down, confusing feelings are introduced in his mind, fake memories are created, he is forced to fire some powers uncontrollably, explosions happens inside his gelatinous body, his tentacles attack each other, mold spreads in the wounds that cracks open, viruses too, and acid, and poison… Not everything is effective, but he doesn't care.

The list would fill a book, but what matters is that everything piles up to give Moloch a hellish experience, and that is saying something when he is literally a fearsome demon.

Eidolon even circulates One for All to boost all those powers, and in a second, the damage is accumulating at an alarming rate.

The problem is that it is still considered a slow death to the standards of the combatants, and Moloch, even as a beast with low intelligence, would not just sit still and allow himself to perish like this.

Eidolon predicted that, and that is why the use of Striker powers is just to create an opening.

The part of the demon's back Eidolon is touching is already unrecognizable; far gone was the pink, wiggling flesh, and in its place is an even more disgusting visage, a rotting, decaying piece of meat, with cracks so large that it is possible to see the innards of Moloch that are not in much better condition.

And, seeing this weak spot exposed, Eidolon raises his other hand, holding the Sword of Actuation in a reverse grip, and hastily stabs the demon with it.

"Gaaaaaaah!!" Moloch once again roars in pain when the Sword of Actuation breaches his defenses.

A second ago, his tentacles had pinpointed Eidolon and were ready to attack the hero, but the sudden attack made them stop and wiggle around because of the pain.

But the distraction only lasted one second; once again, the tentacles focused on him, but they didn't move to impale the hero as anyone would expect. Instead, the tip opens like a blooming flower, but in a disgusting way, because it is a flower made of flesh, revealing that each tentacle has a multi-lobed mouth with sharp teeth.

And from that slimy tunnel, it prepares to shoot something at the black-clad hero.

Eidolon saw that coming 3 seconds ago, and he would never let Moloch complete his attack, and that is why he chose this moment to use one of his underrated powers, not on his enemy, but on his own weapon.

Size Alteration, gigantification…

THUNKPUCHI

The Sword of Actuation is suddenly the size of a bus. Mind you that something like that is not an easy feat; the more "mystical" an object is, the harder it would be for it to be affected by meta-powers of any kind, including ones like this.

It helps that Hector has an affinity with his weapon, being an item he gained from the Essence and all that.

The same would not happen if he tried the same stunt with Mjolnir. And maybe, even if he can increase Mjolnir's size, it wouldn't really increase its power or anything in any substantial way.

But the weight and size would give it an interesting boost, enough to catch enemies off guard. It is a combo he may one day do with Thor, so he keeps it in mind.

The blade of the Sword of Actuation went through Moloch's body, emerging from his belly while spilling out his blood like a fountain.

The demon howls in pain once again, but that is not the end. The tip of the blade disappeared just a little after leaving Moloch's body, sinking into the empty space, but Eidolon made no other move regarding that.

His intentions become clear after that, when, with his hand touching the giant sword, he commands the vines that constitute the handle to start moving, unfolding, and growing in all directions.

SwishSwishWhoosh

It happens very fast and is pretty confusing at first, but the end paints a clear picture, with the result showing his smart play.

Not only is the giant eldritch blade stuck in the empty space as if it were on solid ground, but all the vines also "grab" a little of the space around like tentacles holding a sheet; it even creates an interesting vision of the air being stretched unnaturally and pulled by it from all directions as if it were solid.

In other words, the Sword of Actuation anchored itself on that specific location and sealed Moloch with it.

Not only can the sword bypass the defenses of the demon and suck out its demonic energy, but it also locks the creature in space, essentially removing it from the fight.

"That worked better than expected…" Even Eidolon is surprised. Maybe he underestimated the power of the sword, which is made specifically to deal with creatures like Moloch and has been enhanced many times by Boost Cards.

He will still keep an eye on Moloch because, deep down, he believes that it is possible for him to escape from this hastily built prison, but the creature probably lacks the intelligence to do it.

The problem is…

"Asteroth…" Eidolon locks eyes with his other opponent, who is zooming in close to him.

The hero will not allow the demon woman to rescue Moloch now that he has gotten rid of him, so he jumps from the pink blob body of the demon and meets Asteroth face to face in the air.

The two immediately knew where this was going and cocked their fists at the same time…

BOOOOOOM

It is unclear if it can be called a clash because their knuckles don't even touch each other, but the space between them bends unnaturally, as the impact solidifies the air into some elastic mass.

Now, a spatial storm is formed around them instead of a regular one, making the Mirror Dimension tremble.

'Okay, I accumulated enough kinetic energy… time to give it back with interest.' Eidolon is done playing the careful guy in case Asteroth has some esoteric trick under her non-existent sleeve.

At this point, it is almost certain that she is a straightforward fighter, so he will answer in kind, with no tricks. Well, he will eventually use a trick or two…

Not that most of his powers would work on her, Gravity Manipulation is one of the strongest powers, not only because of the devastating destructive power, but also because it is almost an absolute defense if used right.

Lasers, fire, water, projectiles of any kind, etc. Anything that he throws at her can be stopped or at least deviated from its original path by a clever use of gravity.

What is the point of raining her with thousands of different abilities when it's all the same as throwing snowballs at a hurricane?

So, breaching this defense with his own body (where the efficacy of his Gravity manipulation will be greater) is the right approach in this fight against her.

"Never met such an insect that is so hard to crush." Asteroth says while the two look into each other's eyes over where their fists are.

"And this will not be your last surprise of the day." Eidolon answers, his eyes smirking with a threatening promise.

"Hmpf, and how do you plan to do that without your weapon?" She sneers at him.

She was really cautious with the Sword of Actuation. The truth is, her being hurt the way it happened before is not normal. A blade cutting her? Preposterous. It shouldn't have happened.

Asteroth is not only immortal, but her durability is also incredibly high. Something like that would not be possible if Eidolon used an average weapon.

The fact that her body becomes similar to a mortal one when facing such a weird weapon is what raised her wariness in this fight to the highest level in a long time.

The Sword of Actuation is a weapon made to bypass the esoteric defenses of beings like her; its sole purpose is to bring down the so-called "untouchable" demonic beings to a level where they can actually be killed.

And now Eidolon is using his best weapon against her to keep Moloch in check.

To Asteroth, that is actually a good development.

But Eidolon laughed when she said that, completely unworried, like he had not just given up his win condition against her.

"You really don't know me, woman." He says and then twists his wrist, "I am actually the tricky one in this fight."

The moment his wrist rolled, gravity changed direction, and it is not only crashing between his and Asteroth's fists but also being forced down.

He adapted, or maybe evolved, his fighting style against her… He is not only using his hands to hit the forearm of his opponent to redirect the attacks, but he is also mingling his Gravity Manipulation with hers and throwing her control off.

Asteroth lost her balance in the air, and Eidolon took the opportunity to invade her personal space and strike quickly.

His other hand bypasses her gravitational field with his own Gravity Manipulation, and he hits her with an open palm in the solar plexus.

"GAH!" She spits saliva and releases all the air from her lungs because of that.

"I understand it now…" He smiles, eyes twinkling with mischief as they peek over her shoulder.

The two are so close that they could kiss if they turned their heads toward each other, her larger frame almost hiding him.

"You little-" She starts, gritting her teeth while saliva still drips from the corner of her mouth.

"Not where it matters."

His unexpected joke made her release a quiet laugh… or maybe it was the fact that she quickly put her arms around his torso and went for a bear hug

"Then come here." She says, trying to crush his body against hers, or snap him in two.

"..." Eidolon delays his reaction just enough to feel her gigantic bosom smothering him. "Okay, enough flirting." His voice is muffled.

He is not a pervert… entirely. It is just that before he physically escapes, he needs to set a gravity defense.

Asteroth is not only using her arms to crush him but also using her Gravity powers to cover the whole area, including escape routes, keeping him in place.

Her arms will just be the first thing that will turn him into mincemeat.

If she had her way, of course… Eidolon can't be trapped this easily.

His body just disassembles out of her grasp and immediately reassembles above her. The shift has to be quick because while he is divided, the gravity that he can control around his separated parts can't really fight Asteroth's power.

But he overcame that with his seconds of preparation and escaped, and now above her, Eidolon messily drops down to stomp his two feet on Asteroth.

She is unlucky enough to look up at the exact moment he attacked, and receives the hit directly on her face.

THWACKCRACK

Eidolon is sure that he heard her skull cracking or, at least, some teeth breaking, but that is no surprise.

Despite the little time to amass power in this last attack, he was able to circulate One For All hastily, use the Tremor-Tremor Fruit power, and even multiply his own weight so many times that the Hulk would struggle a little to lift him.

The air cracks as he breaks through Asteroth's defense and pushes her down like a missile.

BOOM

Surprisingly, he is forced back by the recoil of her gravitational field, but she is still sent down to the sea.

Eidolon flips once gracefully to kill his momentum, but Asteroth needs to do a more drastic stop, using her powers to hold her in place before she can touch the water. It is a matter of pride not to be thrown like a rag doll by a mortal.

Voosh

Eidolon dives down without delay to attack Asteroth while she is recovering. Asteroth is no slouch, so she felt his approach and got ready to meet him head-on…

And that is when Eidolon uses a little trick.

PAH

"?!??" Asteroth's eyes widen when she suddenly feels an invisible attack on her face.

It is weaker than the last one, but she was still thrown back by the strange occurrence.

"Twice Impact…" Eidolon says to himself as he appears in front of the confused Asteroth.

This underrated power, which allows him to replicate the impact of one of his attacks, is something he rarely uses because it is more effective in moments like those for creating openings.

Opening her gravitational defenses, Eidolon strikes ruthlessly with two fists, punching her in the chest before releasing a devastating attack.

"Rokuogan." It is always a little more effective to say the name of the move out loud

An invisible line of impact flies from her back, distorting the air for several kilometers and even opening the sea.

If it looks bad outside, it's even worse inside her body.

"GLARK!" Asteroth can't hold back and spits a mouthful of black blood. A circle of waves appears around where Eidolon struck, and the flesh beneath it looks distorted. Asteroth lost her fit stomach; it seems someone shredded all the muscles beneath her skin.

That is not enough to defeat her, though. She snarls at him while showing her teeth stained with blood, she raises both hands to hit Eidolon with a knuckle sandwich, but…

"Twice Impact…" He says again.

ZiinBOOM

She was hit again with a double of Rokuogan. This time she holds the blood in her cheeks so she doesn't vomit again, but they get full like she is a chipmunk… it would look hilarious if she were not so scary.

Gulp

She swallowed the blood back, her throat distorting as it went down, and the reward for holding it in is to be greeted by the sight of Eidolon's fist already approaching her face.

"AAAAAH!" She shouts in both frustration and anger, forcing her body to move faster than usual to defend against the attack.

The back of her hand meets his fist, and she finally is able to regain some ground in this fight, just enough not to be just a sandbag against him.

Eidolon is not surprised; his enemies are not NPCs that would obediently receive his combos forever, so a new round of the fight resumes, and the two exchange dozens of blows in a few seconds.

The sky explodes numerous times every time they meet.

Hector would point out that it is a very "Dragon Ball-like" fight. The two combatants are moving so fast that a normal person would not even see them, and superheroes would only see their blurry figures and the air displacement every time they clash.

But someone on the same level as them would be able to observe that Eidolon has the advantage now. Not only is he using some little tricks from time to time to throw her off, but he also got the gist of how to fight her.

What happens when two people with similar Blaster-type powers fight? What happens when two metas capable of creating or manipulating an element meet? Gravity is too complicated, but if two fire users fight, it would be 9 out of 10 times a dispute over who has the stronger fire.

If they are equal, rather than going through a flamethrower competition to see who can overwhelm the other, the one who wins is the one with better control.

And if one can control the other's fire, it is almost 100% sure that this one will win.

That is how Eidolon is fighting now… he is not disputing with Asteroth over who can create the strongest gravitational field or blast; he is sneakily taking control of her gravitational field and preventing her from using it fully.

She has so much power that she always brute-forces through most of her challenges, constantly keeping a field that makes her untouchable, which increases both her attack and defense in an almost perfect combo.

But subtly, the hero messes with that, shifting the vector from where she is directing gravity; he can create openings and even decrease her attack potency.

He is learning how to do it as he fights her, incorporating his defensive/counter-attack fighting style with Gravity Manipulation.

It is an amazing feat, but it can be accomplished by him because, with all his assimilations and all those fighting genius character cards he got… it is not an exaggeration to say that Hector has the greatest battle IQ in the Universe.

Bam

Another punch lands on Asteroth's cheek, and he immediately changes his closed fist to an open palm to deliver a karate chop to her neck with the same hand.

To his surprise, Asteroth is not being overwhelmed mentally by his dominance in this fight.

Eidolon thought that an old demon like her would be surprised by being bested after so many years of being on the top of the food chain uncontested, but it seems Asteroth is the "bad" type of old enemy.

The one that doesn't revert to immaturity and would throw a tantrum when things don't go their way, and is blinded by their own entitlement.

He saw in her eyes that, after the exchange, she started taking him even more seriously and grew calmer…

This is bad for him. An extremely old enemy that actually matures with age can only be bad news.

He doesn't need a wise enemy with a calm temperament when things get difficult. Eidolon wanted her to panic, to commit more mistakes, to lose some fighting prowess…

But no… Now she is the one adapting to his fighting style.

"Tsk." He clicks his tongue after noticing that the gravitational field around her decreased in range but got denser and more robust.

If she puts this "gravity armor" so close to her body, he will not be able to easily wrestle control over it and bypass her defense in a sneaky way.

He doesn't have room to use his own Gravity manipulation on her gravitational field.

Now it becomes a contest of raw power once again… and unfortunately, she is superior in this regard.

The balance of the fight, which had been on his side, slowly equalized until the two were fighting at the same level.

But Eidolon is not out of options… he rarely is out of options.

If he can mess with her control, and if he can't win in a direct confrontation of raw power…

Pah

"Again?!"

When Asteroth was feeling confident, Eidolon once again activated a dormant Twice Impact that he had left when he hit her body previously.

Not only one…

PahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPahPah

Every hit he gave since the Rokuogan made an appearance once again.

It will not kill her… but Eidolon never planned to use it to finish the job either.

He planned to lower her power and tire her a little more before he pulled this, but he couldn't give her any more time to adapt.

He is a genius, but she is old and experienced. If he is not decisive now, this fight may last for days, maybe even more…

So, while she was occupied receiving a replay of every attack she suffered, Eidolon flies a little above her and raises his two hands.

Previously, Eidolon was "fighting fire with fire", and that is good and all… but deep down, this is not his style.

It is simply because Gravity Manipulation is tricky. Like Space or Time, to fight an enemy that uses those things, you need to at least have some proficiency in those "elements". Sometimes it is even the minimum requirement if you don't want to be massacred.

But… why not use water against fire?

There is an antidote to every poison. Every sickness has a cure… and everything in creation has an opposite.

Above his head, between his hands, the Thanagarian mace appears.

Made of Nth Metal and mostly used to combat magic, but a secondary property is that it's an Anti-Gravity element. A weapon perfect to fight Asteroth.

It all happened so fast that if you blinked, you missed it, so it's no surprise that Asteroth, who is currently being pummeled by attacks from the past, didn't put up much of a defense against it.

ZZZZ

An electric forcefield appears around the spiky head of the weapon.

It is mostly the same attack Eidolon once used against the Realm Lord Molgotha in his battle to save Satana from Minos' ambush.

The hero is going to end this now.

He circulates every strengthening power he has and uses many others to enhance his weapon. All Power Systems, which he can use to reinforce both his body and his mace, are also used; he doesn't increase the size of his weapon because he is aiming for more penetration and trying to focus the power in a smaller area, but he increases the weight many times over.

Then he brings it down on her head.

THWACKBOOMCRACK

The Thanagarian Mace hits perfectly, and the gravity fields defending the female demon break, the air breaks, space breaks, and, of course, Asteroth's skull also breaks.

Once again, the Mirror Dimension is in danger of collapsing and expelling everyone back to the real world.

Thankfully, this attack of Eidolon has less range and destructive power than the one he used against Molgotha; it is completely focused on Asteroth and doesn't disperse in the environment.

And that is why it is so devastating… The space is distorted, so it is not possible to see it clearly; if one could, they would witness the horrible sight of the female demon's head opening as if it were a watermelon being burst open.

After that, she was once again thrown into the ocean like a bullet, but this time she didn't stop herself.

BoomSplash

She hits the water so fast and forcefully that it pushes the sea in all directions and creates a quick rain.

"..." After the attack, Eidolon narrows his eyes and watches her cross the ocean till she hits the seabed, opening a huge crater down there. "Hmm~"

Judging by what happened, the hero is not really happy; his hand moves to prepare something.

Splash

While he was doing that, the ocean opened with another explosion, and Asteroth re-emerged.

"Demons are such cockroaches…" Eidolon sighs lightly. "Not that I can say much about it."

Asteroth looks horrible. Not only is her head non-existent at the moment, but half of her torso is open, her shoulders and arms hanging loosely as blood leaks from the horrible wound… it could not even be called a wound at this point; victims of a car crash look better than her.

And she is still standing there, floating…

Eidolon gets ready to use his second, but most destructive trump card, but what happens next surprises him.

Voosh

The air wobbles and twists before a black hole appears above Asteroth, sucking everything around into a vortex before sucking her in too like a noodle, and she goes without resistance.

It was so fast, so seamless, and a little shameless… Eidolon didn't even react.

"Eh? She escaped?" He pauses, but still does not lower his guard and keeps looking around. If she can teleport away, she can come back the same way.

He even uses some spells and powers to lay some traps around him. Ainz's anti-teleporting spells are very useful in this context.

But his preparations are wasted because she didn't come back even after he waited for several minutes.

"Just like that? Without any villainous, sore-loser parting words? No promises that we will meet again? Strange…" He frowns, a little baffled. "Meh, she didn't have a mouth."

He is not entirely surprised by the tactical retreat, understanding that, for some enemies, it is simply not worth fighting him. Asteroth running is also an acceptable victory.

The problem is that it looked strange. Something fishy about how quickly she decided to escape.

And he doesn't like that he didn't confirm whether that body was a puppet and the real one retrieved it, or that someone even higher in rank removed her from the battle.

The two options are bad, but he at least wants to know. He does not like not knowing.

He clicks his tongue again and turns his head to look at Moloch. The demon is still struggling against its makeshift prison, but it is making good progress in escaping.

"Well… Time to show some kindness in this evil world." Eidolon says heroically.

Then he pulls his gigantic monstrous chainsaw sword named Kindness, which is as big as a van, with multiple chainsaws acting like the maws of a beast.

"I bet you couldn't do evil when you are sliced into a million pieces."

Vrroom Vrroom He revved it while approaching the demon.

He also didn't forget to check on Thor, but the guy is doing well and is almost certain to win. In truth, he is almost finished too, so he will not interfere for now.

......

In another dimension, there is a dimly lit, spacious throne room, completely empty except for a single elevated throne.

There sits the exact same woman that Eidolon just fought, Asteroth.

She doesn't look hurt; her body is in a perfect state, but she is clutching her forehead with one hand while supporting herself with her elbow on the armrest.

"How could I not… How could I not remember that sword…" She mumbles while her eyes are covered by her long fingers.

"Oh? Look at that! A young Asteroth! So cute~ Not really." She can hear those words echoing in her ears as if the owner of that voice were right in front of her, but she knows that is impossible because they're from a memory long, long ago.

"Is he playing as a human?" She questions herself.

A headache is splitting her head open as much as Eidolon's attack with his mace. The biggest damage of that attack was not the destruction of her head, but the awakening of those blocked memories that she thought were forgotten.

"It was not for nothing that my instincts are acting weird against that sword… it is of a different color but…" She groans in pain.

"This is grown-up talk, Asteroth. Stay out of this for the next… billions of years. Heh~"

Bonk

She can still feel the place where his knuckles hit the top of her head like she is an unruly child being disciplined. Then that sword in his hand cut space, and she was sucked into that cosmic prison, where she stayed for countless years.

Not only that…

"Ugh…" She tries to stand up from her throne while activating some powers, but then something flares on her skin.

Tattoos of white chains light up all over her body, and she can barely remove her butt from the throne before she gives up with a sigh and sits down again.

'That is what I am? A fruit waiting to be plucked by him???' She thinks in despair.

She thought that she was free from her former masters and that monster; she played the long game and found ways to bypass her restrictions, but it seems he was playing an even longer game.

In a not-so-far future, he can simply come to her and… She doesn't even know what he plans to do with her!

"Moloch and the others are done for… That is how that scheme ends." She calms herself and leans back on her throne.

After so long, she learned how to rein in her temper. If she were not sealed and were essentially harmless to him, she is sure she would share the same fate as the rest, but that is not optimal.

"It is time to put all that planning in motion." Her eyes fill with determination.

Only the fact that she found ways to overcome her sealing is enough proof that she was resourceful and didn't waste her years. But she was never truly free because that monster made sure of that.

She never understood why he didn't simply kill her, and that only scares her more. It is why she is so desperate to get strong.

"Abominable being… treating all creation like his playthings." She grits her teeth and grips the armrests of her throne with rage. "Asteroth is not your toy!" Her shout makes the whole throne room tremble.
