Chapter 6 - THIRD TIME

"Young master. We're here." The car stopped. Leansei didn't move at first. He kept his head down, watching the gates of Vcherian University through the tinted window. Stone arches. Ivy. Students in perfect uniforms moving like they owned the air. This was the best school in Lemous. The kind of place people got into on scholarships or last names.

Last night he'd felt brave. This morning, his stomach was sour. Because Kean didn't go to a school like this and get loved. Not with the way Felean was looking at him now.

"What? Got no balls now?" a michevious laugh of felean from the other seat, snapping his iPad case shut. "You can still back out. I don't want to see a disgusting flea crawling around anyway. Do you still want to live in hell like your last life?" He leaned forward. "You died once. Why not reconsider? You don't want to die twice, do you?  He said as he climbed out of the car.

Leansei furrowed his eyebrows while understanding Felean's words. He believed that Kean's family was not the only reason he (almost) died, but the truth is that he could be having problems not only at home, but also at school.

Leansei climbed out of the car and walked towards the campus. He ponders that he might survive the entire day, but it wasn't as easy as he thought it would be.

The moment his foot hit the pavement, the whispers started.

"He's back?"

"I know, right?"

"He has guts."

"Ew. Disgusting."

"What bad timing."

Leansei didn't mind the murmurs around him; instead he pulled out Kean's schedule and tried to read the blurred words through the noise. Room numbers. Buildings. None of it meant anything.

He didn't know where to go. Didn't know who to ask. Kean clearly hadn't left behind any friends.

"You came." Leansei halted as he heard a voice from behind. He flinched when he looked at the person behind him. The guy was clingy with his arms around Lean's neck.

' Who... who is this guy? '

Leansei grumpily shoved him off, straightening his blazer where it had wrinkled. The guy was surprised while looking at Leansei.

"Who are you?" An expressionless face of leansei.

"E-excuse me.." a soft girl's voice was behind them. She's small, short hair and clutching a folder. Leansei glances at her with a confused look.

"Kean. The HSC was looking for you." Leansei frowned and furrowed his eyebrows when he didn't know what she was talking about. Nonetheless, he followed her and left the guy alone.

'What is HSC?'

' Is this a group? Or deliquent groups? gangsters? Why would they want to see me? '

He followed her into the small building on the third floor. When she opened the door, a pair of eyes were looking at Leansei.

Four people on swivel chairs. Perfect posture. Gold pins on their blazers. They all looked up at the same time.

Leansei's mouth went dry.

"We heard what happened." Leansei couldn't find the words to say. When the dark-haired man spoke, wearing a navy blue blazer, a white shirt, and a navy blue blazer walks in. He had a golden pin in his chest—everyone does.

' What am I doing here? Is this some kind of council in schools? Did Kean do something wrong before? '

"What am I doing here?" Leansei asked, his face expressionless as he spoke. If Kean did something wrong, Leansei is willing to take any punishment. But if it is injustifiable, he won't let it go.

"Vcherian Council. Please, introduce yourselves again." The dark-haired brown guy said as he was smiling while looking at Leansei.

Leansei had absolutely no idea what was happening.

The girl stood. "I'm Felina Desco. Secretary Executive." and sitting down afterwards.

A boy stands up and says, "Luo Sen. Auditor." The boy with glasses adjusted them.

The girl with long silky hair stands up, "Delia Termi. Treasurer."

The last girl. "Nenia Sales. Peace Officer. We were glad to have you back again. "

The dark-haired guy spoke, "I'm Xeilin Vsergch, the President of the council." He got a genuine smile from him. He is a good-looking person with a tense aura, with or without a smile on his face.

Delia stepped forward and pinned something to Leansei's chest. A gold pin. "We are finally complete, Vice President." The word hit him like a weight. He didn't know what to do when he was called vice president. Since then, he'd wanted that once. In another life. When he was too busy working to even fill out the application.

"We heard you have amnesia," Xeilin said, sitting down. "You can take weeks to recover if you need."

"The meetings are every Wednesday and Friday, after school," he continued. "If you feel up to it, come."

Leansei never thought that he would be able to experience this kind of life. He really envies Kean's life—other than having a stable financial life, he also doesn't need to work like hell in order to live.

But Leansei wondered if he came here for a reason. Maybe that reason was to change Kean's life in a good way. Solve the problems he has and that leansei may come back into his life.

.

He walked out ten minutes later with his head spinning.

Kean was Vice President.

Kean was smart. Organized. Trusted.

Kean had a life Leansei had only read about in books.

The bell rang. He checked the schedule again and ran. He was late.

He knocked and pened the door.

Thirty heads turned.

The professor paused mid-sentence.

"He's our classmate?"

"I know!"

"Argh, why him?"

A laugh from the back. "Wouldn't it be fun to have a slave?"

"Kean! I thought you were still resting at home. Come In." A jovial voice from the professor, Leansei stepped inside and looks around the classroom. The place was nothing like the ones he knew. Whiteboards that didn't stain. Desks that didn't wobble. Windows that actually opened. Light fell in clean squares on the floor.

"Everyone. Give Kean a warm welcome." The professor's tone sharpened. "Don't make him uncomfortable. He's in a recovering state." Thirty pairs of eyes moved. None of them were kind.

"Kean. Sit beside Mr. Cesuis." Leansei found the empty desk by the window. The one he'd always wanted. Light. Air. A place to disappear.

"Let's recall the last lesson, since Kean was absent."

He walked towards the desk and quietly sat in the chair while getting a notebook and pen from inside his bag. Leansei got motivated all of a sudden to study and learn since he didn't have anything on his mind.

But in the middle of the discussion, Leansei unconsciously wrote in small letters, "How to get back to reality." Leaning as he stared out the window, recalled what happened before he transmigrated.

His pen moved without him. "THE LEAF FELLS DOWN THE RIVER AT THE FULL MOON AND WHEN THE SUN COMES UP, HE WILL BE RENAISSANCE." He murmured it before crumpling it and tossing it in the trash can.

Leansei finally solved one of the reasons why he was able to transmigrate from the other body with the same present (in his speculation). He thought that the candy and the phrase had a connection and triggered the bond between the universe and reality.

' How can I find this old lady? She is probably not in Lemous City. Which means I have to travel back to Levous City if I have to. '

Leansei flinched as he felt a presence near his face. The closeness was too much that the guy could brush his lips against Lean's cheeks. In surprise, Leansei unconsciously punched his face, and that's how he fell down from his chair, making a loud noise.

Leansei gasped as he realized what he had done.

"Wha-what happened?" Leansei glances at the professor and students who are looking at them right now. Leansei felt bad for doing it since he wasn't used to sneaking up or doing that because of the trauma he got.

"What the hell?!"

"What did he do to our beloved Revin?! "

"He is way too much!"

"That's right!"

"Attention seeker!"

Leansei closed his eyes and looked at the guy named Revin when he touched his lips using his index finger and looked at Leansei with a suspenseful aura.

' Is he mad? Who wouldn't? You got punched without doing anything. '

"What happened there? Did you two fight?" the professor said, but Revin stands on his own feet and walks towards Leansei, grabbing Lean's collar.

' Damn, I knew a bad thing would happen. '

Revin searched his face. Like he was looking for someone else behind it. Leansei didn't look away. The look was enough to make someone quiver, but because Leansei was different, he fearlessly looked at him.

"Don't do that again," Leansei said quietly. "Or you'll get punched again."

Revin smirked. Let go. "I'm going out." He picked up his bag and left.

When Leansei was fixing his uniform, the students as well as the professor were surprised while looking at him. The bell rang to signal the start of the break.

Leansei gathered his things. "Break time, sir. I'll go now." He walked out while the whole room was still staring.

He'd been in worse fights.

He'd been hit harder.

His body—Kean's body—might be soft, but Leansei's instincts weren't. Years of work had made him strong.

Leansei started walking to the campus, but he doesn't really have an idea where he is. He got lost in this big and extensive university. Thankfully, he is smart enough and has a strong sense of direction.

The hallway was loud.

"Did you see Revin's face?"

"Who did that?"

"No one punches Revin."

"He's going to regret it."

When Leansei heard the people talking, he realized how fast the information was spreading around the university. It just happened earlier, but the information was like an infectious disease that can spread within a few minutes.

Leansei doesn't have a plan to make things more complicated than they are. He doesn't have any plans to fuck up with the famous students since he wants to have a peaceful life, just even once.

Leansei walked towards the building, and he carefully walked on the slippery floor since there were a lot of chances that he could slip on it. It may be the reason he got killed twice (exaggeration).

"AHHHH!!"

"OMG!!"

"That's Vcheroi's son!"

"No fucking way."

"It's Xerchin. God, he's so handsome."

"And terrifying."

Leansei stopped when he heard a familiar name he had heard before. But he just realized when he looked back that there were a lot of girls running towards him. He immediately tried to get the wall to not be run by those terrifying fans.

Leansei ran his hand through his hair and fixed his uniform again for the third time. He was about to walk to get to the cafeteria that he had been looking for since then. But what caught his eyes were the several fan girls from a distance away, running like there was no tomorrow.

' Damn these girls. ' Leansei, annoyed, said in his thoughts as he walked backwards on his feet.

Leansei disliked crowds and preferred to spend his time alone in the small vacant room. He never made friends nor talked to anyone sincerely, aside from Grandma Delin. He had never thought beyond what he had. He doesn't want to be disappointed. Thus, he tried to think that he was contented and fine through all the sh*t he experienced.

As he was walking backwards, he got his feet tangled and was about to stumble into the ground. Leansei closed his eyes to prepare himself for the pain of falling down, but instead of the floor, he felt a firm hand at his waist.

He slowly opened his eyes. Leansei felt his world slowed down when he saw piercing blue murcial eyes and the same feeling of electricity went through his skin and heart.

His heart began to pound in millions when those eyes pierced directly into his inner soul, just as they had when they first met.

"This is the third time."
