Near the Bandits' territory...
All the bandits were celebrating their success with their bounty as they were hired to do since last month; however, on their way back to their home, an unfamiliar whimper came from the entrance as one of the men began to ask him:
"Boss, we found something inside this basket!"
One of the bandits mentioned their boss, a scrawny guy named Xiao Pengtou, was cruel and used theft to acquire jewelry, gold, and other valuables. He pushed others aside, rolled his eyes, raised an eyebrow, and slowly lifted the basket's blanket, revealing a:
"A BAB--!"
"SHHH! Quiet, she's sleeping, you idiots!"
"--She!! That makes it worst.--"
The bandits' argument was interrupted by the baby's cry of "MAMA!!" They panicked, fearing it would draw attention and awaken nearby ghosts. Desperate, they covered her mouth with a cloth, which quieted her.
The leader, annoyed when she began chewing on it, clicked his tongue and slapped his teammates' heads. "--Okay, boys, let's bring the brat in before anyone can humiliate us--!"
"Yeah, boss.--"
Once they all got inside their rooms, Xiao Pengtou said good night and fell asleep but, what he didn't realize was that the baby girl was crawling her way towards him that his men were curious and smiled.
"--What name shall we give her, boss--?"
One of the muscular men whispered as he felt the small girl's hand lightly grasp his arm, his cheeks flushing with annoyance. "H-Hey, d-don't look at me like that, little girl!" The baby girl began to gurgle at him, and he quickly ran out of his room.
He washed her small body, dried her off with a towel, and then dressed her in some of his oversized clothes. Wiping the sweat from his brow with his sleeve, he coughed as if nothing had happened and added, "Let's just call her 'little girl.' Nothing else, understand?"
"Yeah, boss," came the reply. From that night on, no one in the bandit group gave the baby girl a proper name.
