Rio's intuition had always been exceptional, and he believed in it a lot.
Ever since Rio ventured into the spirit realm and used the soul energy of the creatures there to enhance his own soul, the power of his perception, soul, and intuition has become exceptionally stronger.
Moreover, with his skill in soul manipulation and the newly acquired ability to see and manipulate the strings of fate to a certain extent, Rio now had insane anti-tracking abilities.
As long as someone tried to track him down, tried to find him, or tried to use their intuition or skills to predict things about him, the disturbances created in the strings of destiny would become easily noticeable to Rio.
Thus, when Ratna was using his intuition to predict how to make it out of the situation alive and find some source of external help, his intuition unknowingly locked onto Rio, who was in the area nearby.
