Andie giggled and leaned in closer to whisper in my ear . " I'm not really sure what that's supposed to mean but it sounded sweet and romantic nonetheless."
" Well," I drawled , as I slowly traced a heart pattern on her palm." It means that I have entrusted you to hold all my love and emotions right here in your hand. Because I know without any doubt that you will cherish and protect them as I will with yours, sweetheart."
" Oh, Zack." Andie cried, saturating the bond with a wealth of blissful happy emotions that I took full advantage of.
By placing my free hand on the back of her neck and sweeping in for another soft slow kiss .
A kiss without any heat, just love and affection, a promises of a beautiful future together.
Which was extremely difficult with all those little sparks of our bond sending that tantalizing tingling feeling through my palm and across my lips.
Andie blushed and tried to pull away. But I held her firmly coaxing her soft lips with mine. Pleased that she was a fast learner relaxing in my hold and parting her lips slightly.
She even allowed her tongue to peek out and brush across my lips making my control slip a fraction. But I caught myself before I pushed my tongue between her lips to deepened the kiss.
That's when I decided that we had enough kissing for now and gently pulled away with a couple of soft pecks.
Andie was flushed and smiled shyly, but I didn't let her dwell on the kiss. I moved swiftly on to the topic of our adventure today.
" So,"I murmured " What did you think about being inside of an ancient chuck of ice?"
"It was totally awesome the blue hues are just magical but the total silence was a bit eerie." She said excitedly, as her shyness faded away.
" I'm glad you liked it, sweetheart. There's a lot of things we can do together here in Juneau. Things we can do just to get away for the day. To have a little time for ourselves and relax without the stress of our everyday life." I murmured, absentmindedly playing with Andie's fingers.
"Actually" I hummed " We should make a promise to each other to go on a date at least once a week just to unwind and enjoy being together. No worrying about pack life or school or whatever other drama we may be facing at the moment. This will also give you the opportunity to experience what it's like to have real dates with your boyfriend instead of just working all the time. I never want you to feel like you've missed out on anything to be with me." I said honestly, because it would truly break my heart if I didn't give Andie the opportunity to experience a normal teenage life.
Andie leaned into me and grinned "That sounds cool . " She said "So tell me what else is there to do here? We have a long time to date before we get married,you know."
I became thoughtful for a moment before answering. "Well, we could go whale watching I have a cruiser that's moored in Aurora Harbor. It's straight across the road from the hotel we're staying at. There's also a beautiful waterfall we could go see together.And lots of different restaurants we can go to, you just leave it to me and I'll be your personal tour guide." I said cheekily, making Andie giggles.
But then she stopped abruptly and said " You know what I think we should do next week for our date."
" What's that, sweetheart? Tell me." I coaxed , curious to know what she wanted to do.
"I want to take a walk through our little village and get to know some of our people. I also want to eat at that little pizza place the one you take your warriors to."She said thoughtfully, bringing a huge grin to my face.Because she said our village and our people. It warmed my heart to hear Andie call the Starlight Pack her home .
"We can definitely do that, sweetheart. There's so many of our pack members that would be very happy to meet you. People that I interact with on a daily basis like Mr. and Mrs. Crump. Their an older couple that owns the little grocery store." I said, but was cut short as I was going to name some of the others, by the waiter who entered the room.
He approached the table with our drinks and appetizers without the usual flirtatious smile of the female waitress."Jameson 18 neat, for the gentleman, and ice tea for the young lady." He mumbled,setting our drinks down first before placing the Calamari and fried Brussels on the table.
"Would you like to order now or do you need a few minutes?" He asked politely .
" Now is fine." I said and waited until he was ready.
Knowing Andie and I would share everything I didn't hold back. I ordered their French onion soup, the crab bisque, and two house salads for starters.
Then we decided on the ribeye and roasted lamb even adding the crab ravioli as our entrees.
And of course everything came artfully plated another reason I chose this particular restaurant. There's a lot of good food in Juneau but some of it comes on a paper plate.
Thankfully I didn't choose one of those places because Andie noticed."This looks too good to eat, it reminds me of the night we met." She murmured, eyeing the green sprig of whatever was on top of her lamb chops suspiciously.
" We didn't have lamb at my Alpha Ceremony dinner. We had the choice of chicken, steak, or pork chops the night we met. Then on the second night we had seafood." I reminded her.
"I know, but everything was plated so beautifully just like this." She said, pointing her fork towards her plate.
" Really, sweetheart I couldn't tell you what the food looked like. All my attention was on a beautiful dark haired girl with big blue eyes. She had me captivated by her exotic scent and witty conversation." I murmured, swooping in to seal another quick kiss when she turned to face me.
" Are we going to kiss or eat." She grumbled, snatching the artfully plated lamb chop right off the plate and sticking it up to my lips.
I took a bite and chewed slowly acting like I was thinking this over, then replied with a smirk." Well, I guess since we're here we need to eat. BUT" I said, putting a big emphasis on the word and wiggling my eyebrows playfully.
." When we get back to the hotel I get to kiss you as much as I want."
"Oh lord,I'm going to need chapstick." She groaned, covering her face with her hands.
" That's fine we'll stop by the gas station and grab you some. You want some dessert?" I said playfully, opening the bond up to the fullest so that I could get a good read on her emotions.
Through the bond I could tell she was happy and a bit amused. I absolutely love my build In cheat sheet and it just keeps getting stronger every minute I'm around her .
Andie rolled her eyes at my cheeky comment and said " Yes," with that beautiful blush coloring her cheeks.
Prompting me to push the button to summons our waiter."Do you already know which dessert you want or do we need the dessert menu." I ask, as Andie was polishing off the last lamb chop.
She held up her hand palm towards me with a beaming smile plastered across her face. " No need for the menu. I know what I'm getting , I want the butter cake with maple ice cream. And I want you to get the pecan pie with bourbon cream and chocolate truffles." She grinned, really getting into this food sharing thing that we have going on.
" Sounds good, sweetheart." I agreed, because if Andie wants to decide every bite of food that goes into my mouth from now on I wouldn't ever complain.
We have fun sharing our food and do it at most of our meals now anyway. Food is one of the things we have in common, we both love it and don't mind eating a bit adventurous.
After polishing off our dessert I payed the waiter and we headed out towards the truck only to be stopped by a lady yelling. " Andie" from down the street.
Andie and I both stopped and swung our heads around towards the lady who was rushing towards us.
Then Andie smiled "Mrs. Lawson, what are you doing here?" She asked, taking the woman's hand making it obvious that Andie knew this lady.
And from the ladies scent I could tell she was a wolf. More than likely someone from the Silver Moon Pack.
But I stood protectively at Andie's side nevertheless just in case this lady had any funny ideas.
Then the lady leaned in and hugged Andie answering."Scott and I are on a cruise, darling. I've been wondering where you've been, I haven't seen you in a couple of months. I was expecting you to come by and drop off your pills last week before school started. But Abigail came instead and dashed out the door before I could ask her anything. I got some really cute stuff in for fall you need to come by and check them out when you get back." The lady babbled, making it more than obvious that she was from the Silver Moon Pack and no threat to Andie what so ever.
Andie smiled sweetly at the woman then said " I guess you haven't heard yet, I won't be coming back, well not to live there anyway."
The woman gasped, "Oh my, what do you mean?" She ask, totally taken aback by the news.
Andie leaned closer and whispered really low in the ladies ear low enough that it was hard for my Alpha hearing to pick up."Well, it's kinda hard to explain but somehow it's true that I have found my mate."
The woman startled her eyes going wide and snapping her head up in my direction. Then she blinked " are you sure?" She ask, swinging her head from me to Andie almost like she was in some type of trance.
"We're absolutely sure." I said, sticking my hand out for the lady to shake. Then leaned in closer to the woman to introduce myself. " It's my pleasure to meet you ma'ma. I'm Alpha Zachary Randolph." I whispered,pulling back to see the woman's eyes almost pop out of her head.
Which I wasn't surprised by the woman's response, my last name carries a lot of weight in the werewolf society just like Andie's does.
"Oh my" the woman gasped , " You're quite famous ,actually you've been the talk of our little town all summer. And you're absolutely sure that our little Andie is the one." She ask, in disbelief. But she was smiling affectionately and still holding on to Andie's hand with her free hand.
"Yes ma'ma we are, we were as surprised as everyone else the night we met. It happened on the first night of the big social event that was held in my honor last month." I explained discreetly, knowing the lady would understand that I was talking about my Alpha ceremony.
She bobbed her head in understanding then asked " I wonder why Abigail didn't say anything about this when she came by last week?"
