"My my, you have really grown since the last time I saw you." The eldergoddess in front of them said with a smile as she reached forward with her hand and actually started poking Thor. "I was quite surprised when I had heard that Gaea had actually decided to have a new child so I couldn't help myself from watching from afar. It was quite the spectacle."
"My… birth?" Thor asked, looking unsure of what to make of Isuus.
"Yes, Atum's birth had been quite spectacular too; what with all the light and heat followed by him bursting through the earth and start killing other elder gods. And the way Oshtur's kid made the magics of the planet tremble when he first took breath was impressive too. But I have to admit that the way the skies were covered in fire and lightning was quite striking. More beautiful compared to Atum's birth, which was more on the terrifying spectrum."
"This is not what I was expecting." Kala whispered to Hercules who could only nod. The Lion of Olympus' experience with elder gods was mostly limited to beings like Chthon or Set trying to possess someone in order to invade the planet. The downright friendly and pleasant way Isuus was behaving was very much out of his expectations.
"Still, just what took you so long to get here?" Isuus asked with a frown as she pulled her finger back. "I was leaving energy signatures around for you to follow, yet it still took you so long."
"So you are the one who allowed the Trolls passage to our world." Doom said as he walked forward. "And the creature who attacked my kingdom."
"Hmm, oh yes." She blinked with realization, as if she had forgotten that. "I was trying to get your attention, you can just take a few trinkets from my treasury as an apology if you want. But again, what took you so long to get here?" She asked with a pout as she turned back to Thor.
"I... am not exactly a practitioner of magical arts." The god of thunder said with an uncomfortable look on his face.
"Truly? Even though you're the son of that upstart Odin?" She asked and Loki had to clamp her hand over her mouth in order to silence her laughter.
"You know my father?"
"I know him, just as I knew his father and his father." She waved her hand. "A real weirdo, going around Midgard with his friends and claiming to be the protector of this planet with that ridiculous hammer you hold now. Trying to order me around the one time I went to see my sister Gaea, not enough people in his life telling him no." She rolled her eyes, uncaring of the incredulous looks she was getting.
"And don't get me started on his father. Bor, never knew a man more aptly named than that fool. A total bore." She sniffed. "Admittedly a mighty warrior and a proper leader to his men, but misogynistic and far too cruel and bullheaded for his own good. Reminded me of Kemur."
Thor could only look as the elder goddess kept dissing his family and focus on staying calm as he saw his sister kept trying to keep her laughter down with little success.
"Honestly, I have no idea how he's supposed to be Tiwaz's son. That one had always been kind and even jolly."
"Tiwaz?" Thor spoke up with a frown. "My great grandfather's name is Buri." He remembered the old king of Asgard from when he had saved Thor from Hela in his youth.
"That is the names he goes by these days." Isuus shrugged. "I am not sure why he changed it, not that anyone else was ever sure of why he did anything he did." She said with a snort. "Which was probably how he managed to best Atum when the ender of our war came for him."
"...what?" This time it was Loki who spoke up, no longer looking amused. "Best Atum?"
"Yes, I still am not sure how he did it but Tiwaz was one of the few elder gods my sister's firstborn fought and did not find themselves within his jaw. Though I doubt that any of the others were laughing with such carefree joy during the battle." She almost looked fond as she kept speaking of Tiwaz.
"How?" Loki asked, though there was demand within her voice. Though it didn't seem to bother Isuus.
"No idea, the old goat claimed that he did it through cunning but I did see him smack Atum with his spear quite a few times before the god of sun stopped fighting and instead went after some other gods." She shrugged. "But that's enough idle chatter about family. I did call you here for a reason."
"For which you sent trolls to Midgard and attacked Latveria through a servant of your own." Thor nodded, his grip on Mjölnir tight.
"As I said before, I needed your attention." Isuus said with a soft smile. "As much as I wish that this was simply a chance for us to properly meet, the reality is seldom as we wish it to be."
"Let me guess, some ancient evil is awakening and Midgard is in need for protection?" Loki asked with a roll of her eyes. "With all due respect, that is hardly anything new."
"Perhaps not, but the magnitude of such events do vary do they not?" Isuus raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "So I would advise you to take this threat seriously, Loki of Asgard. Thor is not the only god with a troublesome sibling after all."
"The one who is awakening and wishes for Earth to become devoid of life is my twin brother. Set, the serpentine Elder God of Consumption."
