Over at Jiang Mansion
Tonight, over at the Hospital, Lin Luyou's parents were doing the night shift. Jiang Shiyi had wanted to stay there, but was forcibly sent home by Lin's mom.
After all these days, Lin's parents had grown to think better and better of him.
Jiang Shiyi was thoughtful and meticulous in everything he did, not missing a single detail, and with a bit of a cleanliness obsession. He even disinfected and cleaned the bathroom in the hospital room every day, and he took especially good care of Lin Luyou.
Some people might put on an act for a while just to please their future in-laws, but staying in the hospital to keep watch over a patient is boring, tedious, and extremely fussy work to begin with.
It might not be entirely accurate to use "no filial son at a long-suffering bedside" to describe their relationship, but it's enough to show that taking care of a patient isn't easy.
