Night.
Alice Robinson sat by the window in her pajamas.
The night scene in Germany was completely different from that of Paris.
If Paris's nightscape was like a passionate tango, then Germany's was the serene Swan Lake. Two countries, two feelings. Paris was known for romance, while Germany was known for tranquility.
Yet, in such a quiet country, Alice's heart was anything but calm.
For some reason, throughout the day, her mind kept wandering to that person.
She shouldn't have thought of him, but once he stepped into her world, he disrupted the rhythm of her life.
Fortunately, over the past year or so, she had become much clearer-headed than before, and she would never allow that person to disrupt her life again.
Her life had already begun anew.
Thinking of this, Alice picked up her phone and called Claud Laurence.
Unfortunately, she couldn't get through to Claud Laurence.
At that moment, Claud Laurence was in a meeting in the United Arab Emirates.
