Just like every previous visit, Alice Robinson's sudden arrival was met with the same reaction; the servants in Chester Robinson's villa considered her an unwelcome guest, yet they dared not neglect her.
"Miss Alice, what brings you here?"
Alice shot a glance at the servant behind her, "Can't I come?"
The servant instantly fell silent.
Alice said, "Put my luggage in the room on the second floor..."
"But Miss, Mr. Robinson is not here right now."
Alice sat down on the sofa in the hall, coldly replying, "Just because my brother isn't here, I can't wait for him to come back?"
The servant quickly lowered his head, said "yes", and dragged Alice's simple luggage up to the second floor.
The lengthy flight had left Alice exhausted, and she leaned back into the sofa.
She glanced around the room in boredom, noticing the villa's decor for the first time, realizing how elegant it was.
