Special Assistant York knew that no matter what harsh words Victor Morgan uttered now, he would eventually compromise. Even if he could never remember Vera Warner, he wouldn't be able to justify his actions to Zola Morgan.
That evening, the Warner residence was bustling with activity. Ian Lockwood was growing more and more popular with the two children, and they adored his cooking.
But just as they were about to have dinner, the doorbell rang. Vera Warner opened it and was surprised to see the two people standing at the door.
Special Assistant York explained, "Miss Warner, I'm sorry to bother you. President Morgan wanted to see how the children are doing, so I brought him over."
Victor Morgan chimed in, "The last time I saw the boy at the hospital, he was wolfing down his food. As his father, it's only right that I come see his living environment and his daily routine."
