Vera Warner finally managed to get ashore, only to see a large group of people running in her direction. Thinking they were coming to capture her, Vera clenched her fists, ready to fight back.
However, these people brushed past her, and she heard them speaking anxiously.
"Go find them now! If we don't, Lucy White will have us all killed!"
Vera knew they were talking about Lucy White, but she didn't know who had escaped to make them so anxious.
Then she heard someone respond, "You can't blame us for this. Who would've thought those kids were so smart they'd melt the lock themselves."
"It's all that brat named Chloe Warner. Once we find her, we'll teach her a lesson first, then tie her up. She's always leading the others to cause trouble."
"Exactly. I don't know how Lucy White's brainwashing failed this time. Instead, all those previously obedient kids followed that Chloe Warner girl and escaped."
