Chapter 151 - Frustrated

While being vigilant of our surroundings, I helped the lady reach her home... or so she said it was.
Considering the dust accumulating, it didn't look like any normal person had been living here for a while.
Letting go of unimportant details, I laid the lady on the bed after changing the sheets.
Now, should I help her change her clothes or something? It looks uncomfortable to be in. And besides, the lady seems to be struggling with pain.
I have to make the decision by myself.
And hence, I checked the wardrobe for some clean clothes and towels, while getting the first aid kit from the dresser. After bringing a bucket of water near the bed, I resolved myself to pulling her clothes off.
As my eyes fell on the wounds, I realised how bad her condition really was.
Looks like we need to get her to a hospital very soon. Stopping the bleeding is important first, though.
For the next half an hour, I patiently cleaned her body, applied medicine and bandages on her wounds and helped her into the new clothes.
As her fever seemed to be running high, I fed her the medicine and decided to watch over her before she woke up.
Sadly, I fell asleep in between. When I woke up, the lady was nowhere to be seen. There was only a note left on the dresser nearby.
'Thank you. I will repay your kindness soon.'
So, she left already, huh? Well, she did look busy and being a busybody would do no one any good.
What's the time now though..?
What?!! Four in the morning already?!
Crap, I am too late.
Locking the door behind me, I ran back to the hotel and reached my room while my heart was filled with trepidation.
Whew... thankfully nobody's here. Meaning that they were sound asleep in their rooms.
Let's catch a nap first. Have to tail Isla later in the day too...

"...ene... Care... Carene!"
Woah! W-What was that?!
Oh... it's Karime. But why is she glaring at me from on top of my body?
"You sneaky woman! Where were you last night? I came by two times, and you weren't here at all!"
Shit, she noticed... let's just bullshit our way through this predicament.
With a clueless and innocent expression, I answered the angry girl on top of me,
"Eh?? You came by? But, why??"
"T-That's not important! Answer me already!"
"Well, I went to the toilet..."
"... two times..?"
"Y-Yeah... maybe I ate something bad..."
Karime glared at me for a while before she sighed in frustration as she got off the bed and commanded,
"Get dressed quickly! Lara is already tailing Isla. We need to meet up with her soon!"
Isla left already?? Wait, what's the time now?
Shit!! It's ten in the morning already!
Quickly, get ready, me!
I can't let Isla get into trouble behind my back!

Karime and I quickly paid our room charges and met up with Lara. For some strange reason, though, Lara was glaring at me fiercely. There were also deep eye bags present, which made me somewhat concerned about her health.
Still, I hadn't reared two lives yet to dare instigate a feisty dragon. Hence, I wisely chose to let her be, and the trio of us kept following Isla from a distance.
When Isla arrived, she looked somewhat depressed, but after meeting and hanging out with her brother, her mood was jovial again.
For most of the day, the siblings went around the Antique market, gambled a bit at a Casino, ate at the roadside stalls and viewed a movie together. A horror movie, by the way.
Karime looked pale throughout the duration of the movie. And Lara was busy trying to separate us whenever Karime hugged me in fright.
Seriously, you two. We are supposed to be incognito here. You two are catching too much attention already!
It was our good luck that Isla didn't turn back to look and was busy discussing the movie with her sibling.
Her brother also seemed like a nice guy, though time hadn't been too kind to him, as his bald head and wrinkles on his face made him appear somewhat aged when sitting next to the stunningly hot beauty.
If he wasn't her brother, I might have rushed out ahead to give him some good ol' beating.
No, control your urges, Carene. It's normal for family members to be close to each other. Don't get jealous... over every little... thing...

Probably exhausted after the day, Isla chose to stay overnight at her brother's place. Having no choice left, the three of us stayed at a hotel nearby.
Strangely though, neither Karime nor Lara came to disturb me that night. They probably wore themselves out after being so actively aggressive against each other.
Am I the only one who is seriously keeping an eye out for Isla? I mean, those two look like they are having a lot of fun instead!
No, don't look down on others, me. Maybe they are putting in efforts where I can't see. Yeah, better to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The next day, we three got up early and got on the job. Isla took her brother's car and went along with him to the beach to play.
Oh, damn..! My junior is too damn energetic today!
Thankfully, I wore a summer dress on the beach that covered my figure nicely. It helped to hide my raging erection from the public's eyes.
It was good that Karime and Lara didn't mind; instead, they looked happier for me to dress more conservatively. Soon, the two began to engage with each other in various contests. Watermelon splitting, swimming, sandcastle making... they really went all out.
Hell, they didn't even spare a seafood eating contest! Not to mention, the beach ball game; the two were really having a great time.
Isla was also having fun, with her brother being busy fending off the approaching males. Somehow, he acted with very practised movements, as if having done so many times before.
Having such expertise in the fending-off duty wasn't a surprise, though. Who asked him to be born an elder brother to a beauty? She is still a hot mature lady, so she must have been irresistible in her early days too.
Yeah, it's too tough being a beauty's brother.
My condolences to you, poor brother.
But I suddenly realised something. Maybe we were all panicking for nothing.
Isla had been fine and safe all this while.
And she looks noticeably happier now too. Oh well, at least I got to see her playful side a lot this way, right?
Hmmm! Let's focus on having fun while watching over her. And next time... we can have some fun times together!
